Donald Trump Cancels Philadelphia Eagles White House Visit

Donald Trump has disinvited Super Bowl champions the Philadelphia Eagles from their White House visit.

The football team was scheduled to visit the White House on Tuesday (June 5) to celebrate their win but Donald canceled the event after learning that only part of the team had agreed to attend.

“The Philadelphia Eagles are unable to come to the White House with their full team to be celebrated tomorrow. They disagree with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and the people of our country. The Eagles wanted to send a smaller delegation, but the 1,000 fans planning to attend the event deserve better,” Donald said in a statement.

He added that fans are still welcome to attend and partake in a “different kind of ceremony.”

“One that will honor our great country, pay tribute to the heroes who fight to protect it, and loudly and proudly play the National Anthem,” Donald said.

This follows his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where Ellen DeGeneres gifted him with Patriots tickets for next seaon – and Justin dialed in to invite him to his concert.

Tom Brady Sets a Super Bowl Record in 2018 Despite Losing

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots might not have won the 2018 Super Bowl, but the quarterback set an impressive record during the game!

The 40-year-old football player now holds the distinction of the most passing yards ever in both a Super Bowl game and in any postseason game.

Tom previously set the yardage record for the Super Bowl during last year’s game, when he passed for 466 yards. The previous postseason yardage record was held by Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar, who passed for 489 yards in a 1987 postseason game.

During Super Bowl LII, Tom finished the game with 505 yards! There have only been three instances of quarterbacks passing over 400 yards in a Super Bowl game and he now holds two of those titles.

Congrats to Tom on the impressive feat!

Make sure to find out why a 2012 quote from Tom‘s wife Gisele Bundchen went viral during the game tonight.
