Claire Foy is picture perfect as she hits the red carpet ahead of The Girl In The Spider’s Web special screening held during the 2018 Rome Film Fest at the Auditorium Parco Della Musica on Wednesday (October 24) in Rome, Italy.

The 34-year-old actress was joined at the event by her co-stars Sylvia Hoeks, Andreja Pejic, Sverrir Gudnason and Synnove Macody Lund, as well as the film’s screenwriter Fede Alvarez.

Fede recently compared his new chapter with the previous film adaptations: “It’s just a little bit crazier and bigger. Whereas the first one was kind of an Agatha Christie murder mystery, this one is a crazy spy thriller. It ended up more like a James Bond movie.”

“The common denominator, of course, is Lisbeth Salander,” Fede added (via THR). “It’s still a very, very personal story where the stakes are just bigger. There’s just more flair.”

“You could only ever approach a character like that entirely on her terms,” Claire said about her iconic character Lisbeth Salander (via THR). “And I think the other actresses who have played her would attest to this: you could never ever reach the depths of this character. There’s so much there that you could learn from and understand and try to communicate to an audience. It’s sort of infinite, really.”

“What I admired is that she has a will to survive, which is so strong that she will take on a six-foot man, knowing that she’ll lose, but knowing she may find his weakness,” Claire added. “She is definitely smarter than most people she comes across. That gives her the confidence to be foolhardy.”

The new trailer for The Girl In The Spider’s Web has just debuted!

Claire Foy is taking over the role of Lisbeth Salander, previously played by Rooney Mara.

Sverrir Gudnason, Lakeith Stanfield, and Sylvia Hoeks also star in the film, in theaters on November 9.

She was joined by her co-stars Sverrir Gudnason and Sylvia Hoeks.

The Girl in the Spider’s Web follows young computer hacker Lisbeth Salander and journalist Mikael Blomkvist as they find themselves caught up in a web of spies, cybercriminals and corrupt government officials.

The film is a follow up to the massively popular The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Claire Foy is rocking a new hairdo for her upcoming role!

The 33-year-old The Crown actress sported the fresh style while stepping out for a photo call for The Girl in the Spider’s Web on Friday (April 13) in Stockholm, Sweden.

She was joined by director and writer Fede Alvarez along with her co-stars Sverrir Gudnason, Lakeith Stanfield, and Stephen Merchant upon completion of principal photography.

In the thriller, which the group is currently filming, Claire will play young computer hacker Lisbeth Salander, the cult figure from Stieg Larsson‘s “Millennium” book series. Her character joins journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Sverrir) as they find themselves caught in a web of spies, cybercriminals, and corrupt government officials.

The role of Mikael Blomquist will be played by Sverrir Gudnason in the upcoming movie The Girl in the Spider’s Web, according to Variety.

Daniel Craig played the role in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo opposite Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander.

Claire Foy is set to play Lisbeth in Spider’s Web, which is based on the fourth novel in the “Millennium” franchise and set to hit theaters on October 19, 2018.

Sverrir is a Norwegian actor best known for his work in the movie Borg vs. McEnroe.

Sony decided to move forward with a film based on this book in the series rather than make films from “The Girl Who Played with Fire” and “The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest.”

Don’t Breathe director Fede Alvarez will be directing the movie.
