Khalid Throws Star-Studded Benefit Concert for His Hometown of El Paso

Khalid hits the stage with his friend SZA for a special performance during his El Paso Benefit Concert on Sunday (September 1) in El Paso, Tex.

The 21-year-old singer hosted “A Night for Suncity” at the Don Haskins Center with proceeds from the concert supporting the El Paso Shooting Victims’ Fund and the El Paso Community Foundation.

“I have been rocked to the core by the horrific act of gun violence that came to El Paso, and by the continued acts of senseless violence that our country faces daily,” Khalid previously said in a statement. “I want to give back to my community of El Paso, the city of the 915, who has given so much to me. Please come out and let’s heal together through music while raising money to help those who need it.”

Also joining the show were Rae Sremmurd and Lil Yachty. There were even special appearances by Matthew McConaughey and presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke.

Donations for the cause can be made at thegreatkhalidfoundation.org.

Charli XCX & SZA Kick Off Pandora's Relaunch Celebration!

Charli XCX and SZA are helping Pandora Jewelry celebrate their relaunch!

The two entertainers took to the stage at the brand’s kickoff party on Wednesday night (August 28) in Downtown Los Angeles.

Other attendees at the event included Victoria Justice, Shanina Shaik, Marsai Martin, Georgia May Jagger, Luka Sabbat, Georgia Fowler and Larsen Thompson.

After the party, Charli took to her Instagram to share a snap showing off her outfit.

“PSA: I LOOKED CUTE AF LAST NIGHT!!!! Thank u so much @theofficialpandora for having me and hooking me up 💗💓 love you guys – I had so much fun last night at ur party!” Charli wrote.

Taylor Swift Set To Play at Amazon Prime Day Concert Next Month

Taylor Swift is set to perform at Amazon’s Prime Day Concert next month.

The 29-year-old “Me!” singer will join Becky G, SZA and Dua Lipa for the event ahead of the retailer’s annual sales event.

The concert will be live-streamed on Prime Video and Amazon Prime subscribers will have the ability to watch the concert on-demand after the show’s livestream.

“We can’t wait to celebrate Prime Day with an extraordinary night of unforgettable performances, for members around the globe,” Steve Boom, Vice President of Amazon Music, shared in a statement.

He added, “Prime Day brings members the best of both entertainment and shopping. To celebrate, we’ve curated a lineup across multiple genres with performances from artists our customers love. We’re looking forward to celebrating Prime Day with this can’t-miss, one-of-a-kind event.”

If you don’t have Amazon Prime, packages ranging from $8.99 a month to $12.99 a month or a flat rate of $119 a year; and starting TODAY, Amazon will also offer Prime Members four months of Amazon Music Unlimited for only 99 cents.

Amazon Music’s Prime Day Concert takes place on Wednesday, July 10th.

Rihanna Sends SZA a Fenty Gift Card Following Racial Profiling Incident

Rihanna is sending support to SZA.

After the 28-year-old “All The Stars” singer claimed she was racially profiled while shopping for Fenty makeup at a Sephora in California, the 31-year-old Anti pop icon sent her a Fenty gift card.

“Go buy yo Fenty Beauty in peace sis! One love — Rihanna,” Rih wrote on a gift card, which SZA shared on her Instagram Story on Sunday (May 26).

“Lmao Sandy Sephora location 614 Calabasas called security to make sure I wasn’t stealing . We had a long talk. U have a blessed day Sandy. Can a bitch cop her fenty in peace er whut,” she originally tweeted in April.

Sephora has since issued a statement: “We take complaints like this very seriously, profiling on the basis of race is not tolerated at Sephora,” adding that they were “gathering more information about the incident in order to take the proper next steps.”

The Weeknd, SZA and Travis Scott are entering the Game of Thrones universe.

The three music superstars teamed up for the track as part of For The Throne, a collection of songs inspired by the HBO series.

The music video was directed by Anthony Mandler and shot in Los Angeles.

“We’re taking established artists and pulling them into the Game of Thrones world. The show establishes all these different kingdoms and worlds. What I want to do is integrate the color palettes of winter, the warmer tones and match that with today’s biggest stars,” he said of the clip.

The Ricky Reed-executive produced album is the first time HBO has partnered with a major label to curate an inspired-by album for the series. Click here to listen!

Jay-Z, J Balvin and Missy Elliott are heating up the stage!

The three superstars were among the many acts who performed at Pharrell Williams‘ inaugural Something In The Water Festival on Saturday (April 27) in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Pharrell headlined the evening of music with many superstar friends, including Snoop Dogg, Diddy, Usher, Busta Rhymes, Tyler, the Creator, Timbaland, N.E.R.D, Charlie Wilson and Fam-Lay. Travis Scott, SZA and Virgil Abloh.

Prior to their sets, the crowd enjoyed performances from Ferg and a DJ set by Kaytranada, as well as sets by Mac DeMarco, Rosalia, Amber Mark, and Radiant Children.

The multi-day music festival and cultural experience on the beach was created to unite the community and celebrate the diversity and magic of Virginia Beach.

It’s described as “an opportunity to bring the best of what Pharrell has encountered around the world back to his hometown. The weekend celebrates opportunity and the chance to empower everyone from the youth to the small business owners.”
