SZA Reacts to Drake Revealing They Used to Date

SZA is calling out ex-boyfriend Drake!

In his new collab with with 21 Savage and Metro Boomin, “Mr. Right Now”, the 33-year-old Canadian rapper revealed that he and the 29-year-old “All the Stars” singer dated back in 2008.

“Yeah, said she wanna f— to some SZA, wait,” he raps. “‘Cause I used to date SZA back in ’08.”

In 2008, Drake would have been around 21 and SZA just 17.

Now, SZA is reacting to Drake revealing that they used to date, correcting him that he got the timeline of their relationship wrong!

🥴lol I think he jus innocently rhymed 08 w wait,” SZA tweeted. “Anybody who really knows me and was around during this time can confirm.. it’s all love all peace 🤝💎💫”

SZA then followed up with: “I just didn’t want anybody thinking anything underage or creepy was happening . Completely innocent. Lifetimes ago.”

Drake Reveals That He Dated SZA Over A Decade Ago in New Song

Drake has revealed that once upon a time he used to date singer SZA.

Some fans were shocked at the news and reacted on social media.

“now why’d drake have to bring sza’s good name out like that 😭😭,” wrote on Twitter user.

Another added, “Wait stop the music…. Sza and Drake dated in 2008?”

“y’all really believe Drake & Sza dated? are y’all that stupid?” wrote one more.

SZA Shares Music Video for New Single 'Hit Different' with Ty Dolla $ign - Watch Now!

SZA is back with new music!

The 29-year-old singer just released her new song “Hit Different” featuring Ty Dolla $ign.

In the song, SZA sings about falling for the wrong man.

“Trigger me right when I need it / You wrong but I can’t get along without you,” SZA sings. “It’s a shame and I can’t blame myself, keep on lovin’ you / You do it different.”

Along with the single, SZA released the accompanying music video, where she dances around various locations with a group of dancers. In one scene, they dance around a junk yard, before SZA lounges with animals at a farm.

“Hit Different” is the first project SZA has released since her 2017 album Ctrl. Since then, she has been featured on tracks with Justin Timberlake, Travis Scott, and Kendrick Lamar.

SZA Calls Out CrossFit CEO for Mocking Pandemic & George Floyd Protests

SZA is calling out CrossFit CEO, Greg Glassman.

The 29-year-old “Love Galore” singer posted a message on Sunday (June 7) denouncing the fitness company founder on Twitter.

“THIS IS THE CEO OF CROSSFIT .. a man dedicated to making ppl healthy . Ban this bastard and tag ur fave black fit inspo !!!” she wrote, quote-tweeting a post of his on Saturday (June 6).

The post was in response to a message by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, reading “Racism and discrimination are critical public health issues that demand an urgent response.”

Greg replied to that message with “It’s FLOYD-19,” seemingly mocking both the global protests in the wake of George Floyd‘s murder and COVID-19 pandemic as a combined term.

A few days before, Alyssa Royse of Rocket Crossfit called out Greg in an unrelated post about their handling of current issues.

“CrossFit has stayed silent for too long as our country is at a time of reckoning for centuries of systemic racism. They have been called out by countless gyms and athletes and brands alike for their silence,” she wrote.

“I’m using Greg Glassman‘s response as the header image for this blog post because I think it really says all that needs to be said about their response when called out. The gaslighting, the belittling…we’ll soon be relaunching as Rocket Community Fitness. Because cannot stand on the wrong side of history, even if we lose friends because of it. BLACK LIVES F–KING MATTER.”

She also called out various posts from the brand’s Instagram about the pandemic, which have received backlash for being insensitive.

SZA Says Lana Del Rey's Commentary on Femininity 'Really Hurt' Her

SZA is speaking out about Lana Del Rey‘s commentary.

The 29-year-old “All the Stars” singer spoke out on Twitter on Friday (May 29) amid the ongoing protests in Minnesota regarding the death of George Floyd, as well as after Lana faced backlash for her comments on critics, feminism and fellow artists.

“Black women (and men ) work very hard to be seen as soft And non threatening . we want to be seen as GENTLE soft ethereal beings too . Apply this to who it may 😒,” she wrote.

Lana del Rey teas talking about black women can’t be fragile,” one person responded.

“That s–t really hurt me,” SZA reacted.

“Yeah she really lost me with that one, especially with mentioning who she mentioned. Women who lay their heart out in their artistry,” another added.

“Like huh ? Just cause meg wears latex and kehlani got tattoos and bey wore a buret at the Super Bowl … they not capable of vulnerability sensitivity fear and softness? .. GTFFFFFFFF,” she responded.

Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino, is provided a much-needed musical distraction amid the coronavirus crisis!

The 36-year-old entertainer provided fans with new music on Sunday (March 15) in the form of a 12-song surprise album, available at DonaldGloverPresents.com.

The album does not appear to be titled beyond Donald Glover Presents, and features 21 Savage, Ariana Grande and SZA. The album is not yet available on any streaming services beyond the official landing page.

It is not yet known if this is his “final” album that he has been working on for years, but it includes his 2018 single “Feels Like Summer,” “Warlords” and “Algorythm.”

Justin Timberlake Admits He 'Accidentally' Broke Into Alcatraz with NSYNC's Joey Fatone! (Video)

Justin Timberlake makes an exclusive appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing on Wednesday (March 11), and takes part in a revealing round of “Spill the Tea“!

The 39-year-old FutureSex/LoveSounds singer joined his Trolls World Tour collaborators Anderson .Paak and SZA in the game, as well as recurring contestant, Carol Hudson, as Ellen did her best to match a random fact about each of them.

Justin admitted he once accidentally broke into Alcatraz after getting some fire fighters to take him and fellow *NSYNC band member Joey Fatone over to the island.

“We were shooting a video in the redwoods outside of San Francisco and we ended up shooting this one scene on this pier directly opposite Alcatraz. And at the time I was watching The Untouchables over and over again, and I was obsessed with the fact that Al Capone, you know, they put him in Alcatraz,” Justin explained. “And I said: ‘Who wants to go see Alcatraz with me?’ and Joey – who’s usually game for anything – he was like: ‘I’ll go with you!’ but we only had basically an hour in-between where they were setting up a different shot. I was like: ‘Joe, we are gonna go down in history as the dumbest people ever. We got caught breaking into a prison!’”

Justin Timberlake also talked about the new Trolls World Tour movie, Anderson .Paak revealed that he met Justin on social media, while SZA didn’t quite know how she got involved with the project – Watch more after the cut here!

Both Anderson and SZA are featured on the upcoming Trolls World Tour soundtrack with their songs “Don’t Slack” and “The Other Side.”
