Helen Mirren shows off her style in a green dress and jacket while attending the 2015 Ischia Global Film & Music Festival on Tuesday (July 14) in Ischia, Italy.
The day before, the 69-year-old Oscar-winning actress wore a black dress while posing for photos at a festival event. She was seen that day arriving in town with her husband Taylor Hackford.
Helen recently finished her work in the Broadway play The Audience, in which she played Queen Elizabeth II. In a new interview with CNN, she opens up about the real woman and the royal family.
“I’m a queenist. I kind of love the queen. I wish we could have a queen without the rest of the royal family,” Helen said. “Although I’m not dissing the rest of the royal family because I think as individual people I think they’re very decent. I think they’re very hard-working, and I think we got lucky, you know. There are other wonderful, decent royal families in Europe.”
“It doesn’t make sense to me that these individuals are looked at in that way. And the rest of the world is not looked at in the – again, to quote the play, she says, we’re not like everybody else. That’s the point of us!” she added.
FYI: Helen is wearing a green dress from a thrift store. Her black outfit is a Wolford top and a Donna Karan skirt.
