Jenelle Evans‘s son Jace has been found!
Earlier today, it was reported that the Teen Mom star’s son, 14, had gone missing and was reported as a runaway.
In the initial report, police were on the lookout for him, and in a new update, Jace has been found.
In a statement to TMZ, Jenelle spoke about the reasons Jace might have run away, saying that “as a boy mom, kids can act up and rebel as I’m sure the majority of us all once did as kids too. Jace, got in trouble at school, we decided to take his phone away and that’s when he decided to run off, Jace is a good kid.”
“We’re not dealing with anything that most families don’t deal with while raising children, this has absolutely nothing to do with my situation with David, we do not argue in front of our children or fight in front of our kids. This is a teenage boy being a teenager mad that we decided to take his phone away,” she added.
Following her statement, the Brunswick Co. Sheriff’s Department reported that Jace had been located safe.
“Jace has been found, and is safely at home with Jenelle and his family, thank you to the Brunswick Co. Sheriff’s Department and to everyone else for their concerns,”
August Keen, Jenelle‘s manager, added in a statement.
Jenelle just recently got full custody of Jace from her mother, Barbara, back in March.
