Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles beat its way to the top of the box office this weekend with a whopping $65 million debut!
According to THR, the flick, starring Megan Fox, Will Arnett, and more, did so well that a sequel is already in the works, planned for a June 3, 2016 release.
Falling to the No. 2 spot was Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, and more, which earned an additional $41.5 million for a domestic total of $175.9 million so far.
The new action-thriller Into the Storm came in at number three with an impressive $18 million opening.
Rounding out the top five were the adult dramedy The Hundred-Foot Journey, starring Helen Mirren, and Scarlett Johansson‘s latest flick Lucy, which grossed $11.1 million and $9.3 million, respectively.
Meanwhile, Step Up All In, starring Ryan Guzman, brought in $6.6 million, as Daniel Radcliffe‘s new rom-com What If opened in 20 theaters, grossing $130,000 for a location average of $6,500,
