Taraji P. Henson Flashes Engagement Ring at Fox Upfronts!

Taraji P. Henson shows off her engagement ring on the red carpet while attending the 2018 Fox Upfronts on Monday (May 14) at Central Park’s Wollman Rink in New York City.

The Emmy-nominated actress just announced earlier in the day that she is engaged to NFL player Kelvin Hayden.

Taraji was joined at the event by Empire co-stars Terrence Howard, Jussie Smollett, Trai Byers, and Bryshere Gray.

Fox’s fall schedule was announced earlier in the day and Empire will return on Wednesday nights at 8pm.

'Empire' Picked Up for Fifth Season By Fox

Empire will be returning for another season at Fox!

The show is currently wrapping up its fourth season, which has four more episodes to go.

We’d also like to thank our tremendous creative team – Lee, Danny, Brett, Ilene, Sanaa, Brian and Francie – whose inspired storytelling continues to create the unforgettable, jaw-dropping OMG moments that have always been signature to ‘Empire’.”

Jussie Smollett, Trai Byers, Bryshere Gray, Grace Byers, and more also star.

Taraji P. Henson Debuts New Short Hairdo at 'Empire' Panel

Taraji P. Henson is looking fierce with her new hairdo!

The 46-year-old Oscar and Emmy-nominated actress showed off the new look while appearing alongside the Empire cast at Fox’s panel for the 2017 TCA Summer Press Tour on Tuesday (August 8) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Taraji was joined by co-stars Terrence Howard and Jussie Smollett, show creator Lee Daniels, and executive producers Sanaa Hamri and Ilene Chaiken.

During the panel, Taraji said she thought the short hair would set her apart from her character Cookie, but it hasn’t helped. Fans will come up to her and say, “‘Cookie, I like your new cut, girl.’ Cookie doesn’t even wear this hair!” Taraji said (via USA Today).

Taraji P. Henson & 'Empire' Cast Step Out at Fox Upfronts in New York

Taraji P. Henson and the cast of Empire are so ready for their next season!

The 40-year-old actress stepped out at the 2017 FOX Upfronts held at Wollman Rink in Central Park on Monday (May 15) in New York City.

Taraji was joined by her co-stars Terrence Howard, Jussie Smollet, Trai Byers, Serayah, Grace Gealey and Rumer Willis as well as director Lee Daniels.

The cast of Empire spinoff Star was also in attendance, including Queen Latifah, Jude Demorest, Quincy Brown, Brittany O’Grady and Ryan Destiny.

That day, it was also announced that Empire and Star will now air on the same night, Wednesdays, starting this fall.

FYI: Taraji is wearing a Vatanika dress. Serayah is wearing a Bossa bodysuit.

Terrence Howard & Paula Patton Set to Star in Thriller '.38'

Terrence Howard and Paula Patton are set to star in upcoming flick .38, according to THR.

The duo have officially signed on to join the cast of the crime thriller, in addition to Mike Epps.

The film follows a rookie cop on the in St. Louis as he spends his first night on the job.

After a brutal killing occurs, he sees up close the bonds of loyalty, work and family that bind together the cops, both black and white.

The film is expected to begin production this May in Thomasville, Georgia.
