Elton John and his husband David Furnish meet up with Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Viewing Party held during the 2015 Academy Awards on Sunday evening (February 22) in Los Angeles.
Also in attendance at the star-studded event were Rob Lowe and his wife Sheryl Berkoff, Mike Myers and his wife Kelly Tisdale, Dermot Mulroney and his wife Tharita Catulle, Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna, Eric McCormack and his wife Janet Holden, legendary actress Cloris Leachman, and singer Asher Monroe.
“It means that we raise money on a night where everyone is having a great time and is not really thinking about the world but thinking about ‘fluff’ like Oscars,” Elton said when asked by PopSugar what the event means to him. “It’s a night where we try to remember the people who aren’t living a glamorous life, who are suffering, that might be left behind. That we remember them when we’re having a joyous time, that we don’t forget people who aren’t.”
