Jessica Chastian has some cuts and bruises on her face from a previous fight in the brand new trailer for The 355.
The action packed trailer features Jessica, alongside Diane Kruger, Lupita Nyong’o, Penélope Cruz, and Fan Bingbing, showing off their fighting skills.
Here’s a summary: When a top-secret weapon falls into mercenary hands, wild card CIA agent Mason “Mace” Brown (Chastain) will need to join forces with rival badass German agent Marie (Kruger), former MI6 ally and cutting-edge computer specialist Khadijah (Nyong’o), and skilled Colombian psychologist Graciela (Cruz) on a lethal, breakneck mission to retrieve it, while also staying one-step ahead of a mysterious woman, Lin Mi Sheng (Fan), who is tracking their every move.
As the action rockets around the globe from the cafes of Paris to the markets of Morocco to the wealth and glamour of Shanghai, the quartet of women will forge a tenuous loyalty that could protect the world—or get them killed.
Also starring Edgar Ramirez and Sebastian Stan, The 355 is expected to hit theaters on January 7, 2022.
All five female stars, who are owners of the film, will be getting a portion of the movie’s profits.
Jessica Chastain is speaking out to defend the casting of Penelope Cruz as a Colombian spy in their new movie The 355.
Variety published an article in which the film was called out for casting a Spanish actress in the role of a Latina woman as they are not the same.

“She’s cast in a role that makes it seem clear that executives and agents put no effort into scouring the world to find a more appropriate choice, or to be even more daring, an actual Colombian actress to play Graciela,” the author of the article wrote.
Jessica, who is also a producer on the movie, released a statement to the outlet in which she explained that the role was originally conceived as being Brazilian, but Penelope did not feel comfortable playing a character from Brazil.

Sebastian Stan and Jessica Chastain look like a couple on the set of their upcoming movie 355 on Thursday (July 11) in Paris, France.
The actors were joined on set by their co-star Diane Kruger that day while filming a scene at a restaurant.
Diane and Jessica were spotted filming an action-packed sequence earlier in the week on the first day of production for the upcoming spy thriller.
Jessica is producing the film and Simon Kinberg is directing. Also starring are Penelope Cruz, Lupita Nyong’o, Fan Bingbing, and Edgar Ramirez.

Jessica Chastain was also involved in the scene and her stunt double was spotted getting down on one knee with her pistol extended. It’s not clear if she was shooting at Diane or someone else!
Diane and Jessica were joined on set that day by their partners, Norman Reedus and Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, respectively, though they’re not pictured.
Not much is known about the film’s plot other than the movie being an all-female spy thriller. Simon Kinberg is directing while Lupita Nyong’o, Penelope Cruz, and Fan Bingbing round out the cast.
