Chris Klein Cast as Cicada In Upcoming Fifth Season of 'The Flash'

The Flash is getting a new villain!

It was just announced that Chris Klein has been cast as Cicada during the show’s panel at 2018 San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday (July 21) in San Diego, Calif.

Chris will be a series regular in the upcoming fifth season as the new villain in Central City, who is described as “a grizzled, blue-collar everyman whose family has been torn apart by metahumans, Cicada now seeks to exterminate the epidemic — one metahuman at a time.”

The Flash season five trailer was also released. The show will return Tuesday, October 9th on The CW. Watch below!

Grant Gustin Suits Up on 'The Flash' Set in Vancouver!

Grant Gustin is hard at work on the new season of The Flash!

The 28-year-old actor was spotted all suited up as he spent the afternoon filming a scene for the upcoming fifth season of the show on Monday (July 16) in Vancouver, Canada.

Grant and a couple of extras were spotted filming a fight scene outside of a jewelry store in what appeared to be a robbery.

The Flash will be coming back to The CW on Tuesday, October 9.

'The Flash' Will Be Directed By 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Screenwriters!

The Flash just got an exciting new update!

The upcoming movie, which will star Ezra Miller as Barry Allen (The Flash) from Justice League, is set to be directed by Spider-Man: Homecoming screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film previously had two other directors attached: Rick Famuyiwa left in October of 2016 due to “creative differences,” who followed Seth Grahame-Seth, who had written the script and was attached to direct.

John and Jonathan are known for penning comedies, including Horrible Bosses.

There is no release date set for the film just yet.

Grant Gustin & Carlos Valdes Suit Up For 'The Flash' Filming

Grant Gustin shares a laugh on set with Carlos Valdes while filming scenes for The Flash on Tuesday (November 7) in Vancouver, Canada.

The two actors were spotted suited up with Danielle Panabaker channeling Killer Frost for an upcoming episode.

Not much other clues were given, but in the pics, Danielle was laying on the ground at one point.

Wentworth Miller is Leaving 'Legends of Tomorrow' & 'The Flash'

Wentworth Miller has announced that he will be leaving his role as Captain Cod in The CW’s DC Comics series Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash.

The 45-year-old actor took to Instagram to reveal the news directly to fans over the weekend.

“Currently shooting some of my final episodes as ‘Captain Cold/Leonard Snart’ on the CW’s Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash. Grateful – now and in advance – to a pair of talented casts and hardworking crews… Thank you,” Wentworth wrote in his statement.

“I’ve had a tremendous time playing this character… It’s been an opportunity, an education and a f-cking blast,” he added.

'Arrow' & 'The Flash' Stars Film [SPOILER] Scene for Crossover Episode!

SPOILER ALERT - These photos contain possible spoilers for the upcoming episodes of The Flash and Arrow, so continue at your own risk!

Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards share a romantic kiss while filming a scene for The Flash and Arrow‘s crossover episode on Tuesday (October 10) in Vancouver, Canada.

Also spotted on set were Grant Gustin and Candice Patton and photographers on location say that the two on-screen couples were filming a double wedding scene on the waterfront!

This isn’t yet confirmed, but it would be very exciting if this is indeed true. EPs Marc Guggenheim and Greg Berlanti both teased that the crossover would feature life events.

“It’s a big life event for a few different people on the show…there are many life events that happen.”
