Manny Jacinto is engaged!

The 32-year-old The Good Place actor has announced that he and longtime girlfriend Dianne Doan are getting married.

Manny shared the exciting news at the 2019 Vulture Festival on Saturday (November 9) and revealed that he was inspired by his The Good Place character to take the next big step.

“I was toying when to pop the question for a long time,” Manny said via People. “I looked at the Janet/Jason relationship, and there’s a sentence that Jason says to Chidi about relationships and it hit me pretty hard. I thought it was a sign that I needed to do it, and a week later I popped the question.”

Manny then went on to share how he proposed to Dianne.

“I took her to places that really meant a lot to us,” Manny said. “Where I first met her, where I first saw her, where we had our first date, and where we had our first dance class.”

Manny continued: “I had these canvas things written down with a message saying why the places were important to us. At every location I had her close her eyes, I’d hold up the canvas, and she would open her eyes.”

“I took her through five different places, and at the last place I had our families waiting and I proposed,” Manny shared.

The co-stars were spotted shooting a scene for the final season of NBC’s The Good Place on Monday (September 30) on the terrace of Les Deux Magots cafe in Paris, France.

The show’s upcoming fourth and final season premiered on September 26, and will consist of 14 episodes. The show first premiered in September of 2016, and has won a Peabody Award and two Hugo Awards.

The stars of The Good Place hit the stage to promote their show at the 2019 Summer TCA Press Tour on Thursday afternoon (August 8) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Stars including Kristen Bell, Ted Danson, Jameela Jamil, D’Arcy Carden, Manny Jacinto, and William Jackson Harper attended the event to promote the upcoming final season of their hit show.

During the event, show creator Michael Schur shared how the show has changed over the course of four seasons.

“What we found as we discussed it and wrote it and executed it is that some very, very smart people over the last 3000 years have had a lot of very different opinions about that question,” Michael said via Slashfilm.com. “The mission of the show then became was to say okay, we’re going to give you a bunch of options. You can be a good person this way, try to be a good person this way or this way. What we ended up saying is we’re going to present a bunch of options, and there are plenty more we didn’t describe, but what’s important is that you try one of them. That was my internal shift over the course of making the show, the newfound belief that the important thing wasn’t actually being good. The important thing was that you’re trying.”

Season 4 of The Good Place is set to premiere on September 26.

Kristen Bell strikes a pose on the red carpet at the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday (January 13) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 38-year-old actress was joined at the event by her The Good Place co-stars William Jackson Harper, Manny Jacinto, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Jameela Jamil, and D’Arcy Carden.

The show is nominated this evening and William is also nominated, along with their co-star Ted Danson.

The Good Place has been renewed for another season over at NBC!

The show stars Ted Danson, Kristen Bell, William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, Manny Jacinto, D’Arcy Carden, and more.

“Congratulations to Mike Schur and an exceptional cast and crew, all of whom collaborate to create a thoughtful, mind-bending and hysterical series unlike anything else on television,” Tracey Pakosta and Lisa Katz, co-presidents, scripted programming at NBC Entertainment, told THR. “We can’t wait to see what unexpected stories the new season will bring.”

The show will return in January for three additional episodes in season 3, and will air its fourth season in the 2019-20 season.

NBC’s The Good Place has been renewed for a third season!

The show is in the middle of its sophomore season and has been critically acclaimed. Ted Danson, Kristen Bell, William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, Manny Jacinto, and D’Arcy Carden star.

So far, thirteen episodes have been ordered for the third season, Entertainment Weekly reports. The final five episodes of season two of The Good Place are set to air this January.
