'Mockingay' Beats 'In the Heart of the Sea' at Weekend Box Office

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 won the box office for the fourth weekend in a row, earning an additional $11.3 million for a domestic total of $244.5 million so far!

According to THR, the final installment, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson, has made $564.6 million worldwide.

Coming in at No. 2 was Chris Hemsworth‘s new film In the Heart of the Sea, which cost $100 million to make and opened to $11 million.

Taking the third spot was Disney and Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur, which brought in an additional $10.5 million for a domestic total of $89.7 million.

Rounding out the top five were Michael B. Jordan‘s Creed and the horror-comedy Krampus, which earned $10.1 million and $8 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, the star-studded flick The Big Short, boasting a cast of Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt, Christian Bale, and Steve Carell, grossed $720,000 from eight theaters for a location average of $90,000.

'Mockingjay' Keeps No. 1 Box Office Spot Over 'Krampus'

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 won the box office for the third weekend in a row, with a $18.6 million gross!

According to THR, the final installment, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson, has made $523.9 million worldwide so far.

Coming in at No. 2 was the horror-comedy Krampus, which debuted to a solid $16 million.

Tied in third was The Good Dinosaur and Michael B. Jordan‘s Creed, which each earned $15.5 million.

Rounding out the top five was Spectre, bringing in an additional $5.4 million.

Meanwhile, the Mother Theresa biopic, The Letters, made $802,000 from 886 theaters.

Spike Lee‘s Chi-Raq, came in at No. 13 with $1.3 million from 305 theaters, for a location average of $4,092.

'Mockingjay' Beats Out 'Creed' & 'The Good Dinosaur' to Top Thanksgiving Weekend Box Office!

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 continued its box office reign, winning out the Thanksgiving holiday weekend with an additional $75.8 million!

According to THR, the final installment, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson, is still a little behind pace of the previous film, but has grossed $440.7 million so far!

Coming in at No. 2 was the Pixar/Disney release of The Good Dinosaur, which earned a solid $56 million in its first weekend.

Taking the third spot was Michael B. Jordan‘s new Rocky remake, Creed, which debuted to an impressive $42.6 million.

Rounding out the top five were Spectre and The Peanuts Movie, which earned $12.8 million and $9.7 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, Daniel Radliffe and James McAvoy‘s new flick Victor Frankenstein placed No. 12 with a five-day gross of $3.4 million

The Danish Girl, starring Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander, opened to $181,000 from four theaters in New York and Los Angeles, for a location average of $45,221.

Brooklyn expanded nationwide over Thanksgiving and earned $4.9 million from 845 theaters.

'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2' Debuts to $101 Million!

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 opened to a whopping $101 million in the U.S., topping this weekend’s box office!

According to THR, the final installment, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson, took in $247 million total worldwide, which is the lowest for the franchise, but still had the biggest day-and-date release of the year.

Coming in at No. 2 was Daniel Craig‘s new James Bond flick Spectre, which earned an additional $14.5 million.

Taking the third spot was The Peanuts Movie, grossing $12.8 million and bringing its total to $82.5 million so far.

Rounding out the top five were Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s new comedy The Night Before, and Julia Roberts, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Nicole Kidman‘s new flick Secret in Their Eyes, which earned $10 million and $6.6 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s By the Sea expanded to 126 theaters and grossed $185,000, for a location average of $1,470.

Carol, starring Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara, Sarah Paulson, and Kyle Chandler, opened in four theaters in New York and Los Angeles, bringing in $248,149, for a location average of $62,032.

Tom Hardy‘s new movie Legend also opened in four theaters in Los Angeles and New York, earning $83,000, for a location average of $20,271.

The star-studded movie Spotlight expanded into a total of 599 theaters and made an estimated $3.6 million, for a domestic total of $5.8 million so far.

And finally, the critically-acclaimed indie movie Brooklyn expanded into a total of 111 locations and has grossed $2.6 million to-date.

'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2' Press Cancelled for Los Angeles Premiere After Paris Attacks

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 stars will no longer be talking to press at the upcoming premiere on Monday (November 16) in Los Angeles.

According to THR, the cast, which includes Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson, will likely greet some fans and take a few photos before heading inside for the screening.

This comes after over 120 people were killed in several attacks throughout Paris over the weekend.

“Out of respect for the very recent events in Paris, we have decided to modify our red carpet and we will not conduct interviews at Monday’s Mockingjay 2 premiere,” Lionsgate said in a statement. “We will proceed with the rest of the event as planned in honor of the incredible fans who have always supported our films with such passion.”

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 hits theaters on November 20.

Jennifer Lawrence Doesn't Plan on Getting Married, But Wants to Be a Mother

Jennifer recently opened up to ABC‘s Diane Sawyer about her breakup from Nicholas Hoult and her future.

“Being 24 was this whole year of ‘Who am I without these movies? Who am I without this man?’” she said. “It was always ‘we.’ It sounds so young to say that but it’s true.”

Jen continued, “I don’t really plan on getting married. I might. I definitely want to be a mother. I don’t really imagine getting married anymore. I don’t feel like I need anything to complete me. I love meeting people, men, women, whatever, I love people coming into your life and bringing something.”
