Apple TV+ has renewed The Last Thing He Told Me for a second season, despite the show being originally billed as a one season limited series!

Season one of the show follows Hannah (Jennifer Garner), a woman who must forge a relationship with her 16-year-old stepdaughter Bailey (Angourie Rice) in order to find the truth about why her husband (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) has mysteriously disappeared.

Season one was based on Laura Dave‘s book by the same name, and season two will follow a sequel novel, also written by Laura, set to be released next year.

Jennifer Garner opened up about being pranked by her co-star on the set of her project The Last Thing He Told Me.

The 51-year-old actress shares the screen with Game of Thrones actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in the Apple TV+ series.

In a recent interview, she revealed that a prank he pulled onset caused her to cry. Nikolaj also weighed in, explaining how he responded to her emotional reaction.

Jennifer Garner and Reese Witherspoon are celebrating the premiere of their new Apple TV+ series!

The longtime friends walked the red carpet at the premiere of The Last Thing He Told Me on Thursday (April 13) at the Regency Bruin Theatre in Los Angeles.

Jennifer stars in the new series and executive produces alongside Reese, who made the show with her production company Hello Sunshine.

Also in attendance at the premiere were Jennifer‘s co-stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Aisha Tyler, Geoff Stults, John Harlan Kim, and Augusto Aguilera.

In an interview at the premiere, Reese talked about how Jennifer fought for the role in the new series.

Julia Roberts is taking on a big new role.

The 53-year-old Pretty Woman star is set to appear in a series adaptation of the upcoming novel The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave, Variety reported Thursday (December 10).

Julia will executive produce in addition to starring. Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter of Hello Sunshine also executive produce.

Here’s a plot summary: “The Last Thing He Told Me follows a woman (Roberts) who forms an unexpected relationship with her sixteen-year-old stepdaughter while searching for the truth about why her husband has mysteriously disappeared.”

The novel will be published by Simon & Schuster on May 4, 2021.
