Who Went Home on 'The Voice' 2017? 12 Singers Cut This Week

Half of the contestants left on the twelfth season of The Voice were cut from the competition this week as we head into the live shows.

Each coach kicked off the week with six singers on their teams, but they had to narrow them down to three each after they all performed.

America got to select two contestants to keep on each team while the judges each had to pick one person out of the four remaining.

'The Voice' 2017: Top 12 Contestants Revealed!

The top 12 contestants on the twelfth season of NBC’s The Voice have been revealed and we now know who will perform in next week’s live shows.

Each coach – Adam Levine, Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani – started this week with six contestants and they lost half of them. America got to send two singers from each team to the next round while the coaches each selected one.

WHO WENT HOME? 12 singers were cut from the competition this week

Next week, the 12 contestants will perform on Monday night and then one singer will be sent home during the results show on Tuesday night following the instant save performances.

'The Voice' 2017 - Top 24 Contestants Revealed for Playoffs

The top 20 contestants headed to the live playoff shows on The Voice have been revealed!

The four coaches this season – Adam Levine, Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani – each have six singers on their teams.

The knockouts round ended on Monday and a recap episode aired on Tuesday to show the journey the contestants went through to get to this point. You can meet all of the contestants right here, thanks to the bios from NBC!

'The Voice' 2017 - Top 32 Contestants Revealed for Knockouts

The battle round on the latest season of The Voice has officially ended and now we know who will be going to the knockout round.

The four coaches – Adam Levine, Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefanientered the battles with 12 contestants each and they had to cut half of their teams. Each judge had the chance to steal two artists and they are now going into the knockouts with eight people on their teams.

It is likely that each judge will get one steal for the knockouts and there will ultimately be 20 contestants left in the competition when we move into the live shows.

Ellen DeGeneres Inserts Herself Into 'The Voice' Jam Session (Video)

One thing that Ellen DeGeneres often does on her show is insert herself into videos that she wasn’t originally part of and the latest one involves The Voice!

The four coaches on the show – Adam Levine, Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani – got together for a jam session where they sang the TLC hit “Waterfalls.”

Ellen decided to grab an instrument and join the four music superstars and the result is hilarious!

“I don’t know if you’ve been watching The Voice, but they did something really cool. All of the judges had this jam session where they played TLC‘s “Waterfalls” and it was really great, I thought,” Ellen said before playing the clip on her show.

'The Voice' 2017 - Teams Revealed for Battle Rounds

The blind auditions for the spring 2017 season of The Voice ended last week and now the battle rounds will begin tonight!

Each of the four coaches – Adam Levine, Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani – have 12 singers on their teams. They will be pairing their own team members against each other for six battles per team. The coaches will have to select who wins each battle, sending one contestant home and one contestant to the next round.

All of the coaches will have the opportunity to steal three singers. If more than one coach does a steal for one singer, then that contestant has the opportunity to pick his or her next coach. There will be 32 singers remaining in the knockout round.

Kelly Clarkson Can't Stop Crying Over 'The Voice' Contestant's Rendition of 'Piece By Piece'

Kelly Clarkson is speaking out to send praise to The Voice contestant Stephanie Rice, who covered the singer’s Grammy-nominated song “Piece by Piece” during her blind audition.

Stephanie opened up in her interview about how her parents disowned her when she came out to them at 18 years old.

“My father is a pastor, and they disowned me,” Stephanie said. “And I’ve been taking that brokenness and emotion, I’ve been channeling it into the only form I knew how, which is through music.”

Kelly got really emotional while watching the performance and tweeted: “Can’t. Stop. Crying. 😳 Her vulnerability and her story ….just wow. Steph, I hope ur parents open their hearts 2 the beautiful person u r!”
