'The Voice' 2016: Season 11's Celeb Mentors Revealed!

The eleventh season of The Voice is set to premiere with a special episode during the Olympics next month and the celeb mentors for the battle round have been announced.

The four coaches for the upcoming season are returnees Adam Levine and Blake Shelton along with newbies Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys.

Miley has some experience on the show as she was the guest advisor during the knockout round in the previous season and she got to provide her expertise to all four teams.

'The Voice Mexico' Singer Alejandro 'Jano' Fuentes Dead After Being Shot in Chicago

So sad – singer Alejandro “Jano” Fuentes has died.

The 45-year-old talent, who was a contestant on the Mexican version of The Voice back in 2011, was shot while out celebrating his birthday with friends on Thursday (June 16) in Chicago, Ill.

According to AP, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office confirms that he was shot three times in the head while outside the Tras Bambalinas School as he got into his car with friends.

An armed man told him to get out of the car and then shot him.

Police don’t have any suspects, but are investigating.

Our thoughts go out to Jano‘s family and friends during this difficult time.

The Voice's Pharrell Williams & Usher React to Christina Grimmie's Death

Pharrell Williams and Usher, who are both part of The Voice family, are reacting to the death of former contestant Christina Grimmie.

The 22-year-old singer was shot at her Orlando concert on Friday night (June 10) and she died shortly after due to complications from her injuries. The gunman was tackled by her brother, but he shot himself on the scene.

“This is a tragic loss. My heart goes out to @therealgrimmie’s family, friends and all the people that she touched,” Pharrell tweeted.

“To an amazing soul and voice…may your legacy live on forever. Rest in peace beautiful, Christina,” Usher tweeted.

The Voice's Carson Daly Reacts to Christina Grimmie's Death

Carson Daly, the host of The Voice, is opening up about the death of the show’s season six contestant Christina Grimmie.

“I think we’re all still in shock. We’re all saddened by the news of Christina, who was just an incredible talent, and incredible person,” the 42-year-old entertainer said while calling into The Today Show on Saturday morning (June 11). “It’s just so sad. So young.”

“People say the phrase a lot, ‘so-and-so was a nice person.’ Christina really was, she was special,” Carson added. “She would walk in a room and have an infectious laugh. She was determined; she was confident. But she was so incredibly sweet.”

“You would never forget meeting her. I’m shocked she didn’t actually win season six. Her star was shining so bright, which certainly makes this tragedy that much harder this morning,” Carson continued.

Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton are both speaking out on the death of Christina Grimmie, a former contestant on The Voice.

The 22-year-old singer was shot by a gunman after her concert on Friday (June 10) in Orlando, Fla. and shortly after died due to complications from her injuries.

“So sad passing of @TheRealGrimmie. Beautiful member of #TheVoice family & true #Fighter. My heart goes out to her family, friends & fans. xo,” Aguilera wrote on her Twitter account.

“I’m stunned and disgusted and heartbroken that we lost that sweet little girl… Keeping @TheRealGrimmie family in my heart and mind,” Blake wrote on his account.

'The Voice' Releases Statement on Christina Grimmie's Death

The Voice has responded to the death of former contestant Christina Grimmie, who passed away on Friday (June 10) after being shot at her concert in Orlando, Fla.

The NBC show took to Twitter following the news of her passing to mourn the 22-year-old singer.

“There are no words. We lost a beautiful soul with an amazing voice. Our hearts go out to the friends, fans and family of @TheRealGrimmie,” the account wrote.

The account also changed its icon and profile to be completely black in mourning.

Christina came in third place on the show’s sixth season in 2014.

Ariana Grande and Christina Aguilera belt out the song “Dangerous Woman” together during an amazing performance on The Voice season ten finale on Tuesday (May 24) in Los Angeles.

The 22-year-old singer started off the performance with her new single “Into You” and then segued into the title track off her new album.

Christina, a coach on the singing competition series, joined her in the middle of the second song.

The performance came about after Christina‘s highly anticipated duet with a Whitney Houston hologram was canceled due to the technology not being up to par.
