Jake Gyllenhaal to Make Musical Theater Debut as Seymour in 'Little Shop of Horrors'

Jake Gyllenhaal will be making his musical theater debut later this year in Little Shop of Horrors!

The 34-year-old actor will take on the role of Seymour in the New York City Center’s Encores! Off-Center production this coming July. He will play opposite the original actress who originated the role of Audrey on and off screen, Ellen Greene.

SNL‘s Taran Killam will take on the role of crazy dentist Orin. The performances will take place in NYC on July 1 and 2. Be sure to check it out if you’re in the area! You can grab tickets here.

Amanda Seyfried Replacing Tatiana Maslany in Off-Broadway's 'The Way We Get By'

Amanda Seyfried will be replacing Tatiana Maslany in Neil LaBute’s upcoming off-Broadway play The Way We Get By, THR reports.

Orphan Black‘s Tatiana had to drop out due to filming conflicts after being previously announced as a star

Amanda will star opposite The Newsroom‘s Thomas Sadoski in the Second Stage Theatre world premiere production. Previews will begin on April 28 for a May 20 opening and will close on June 14.

Amanda and Thomas will play Beth and Doug, two people who have a very awkward encounter after spending a night together following a drunken wedding reception.

Elizabeth Olsen: Juliet in 'Romeo & Juliet' Off-Broadway!

Elizabeth Olsen has just been cast as the leading role of Juliet in William Shakespeare‘s classic play Romeo & Juliet, according to the New York Times.

The 24-year-old actress will take the Off-Broadway stage for the 2013/2014 season at the Classic Stage Company, located downtown in New York City.

No word yet on who will star opposite Elizabeth as her star-crossed lover Romeo.

Elizabeth‘s portrayal of Juliet will be her first time originating an on-stage role! We cannot wait to see her live in action!

Tom Hanks: Broadway Debut in 'Lucky Guy'!

Tom Hanks is set to make his Broadway debut in the Nora Ephron play Lucky Guy, according to THR!

The 56-year-old actor will star in the play about the “career highs and lows of controversial tabloid reporter Mike McAlary in 1980s New York.”

The play will begin previews on March 1, for an April 1 limited engagement opening.

Tom and the late Nora collaborated numerous times in the past including the 1993 movie Sleepless in Seattle and 1998′s You’ve Got Mail.

Usher: Fuerza Bruta's New Cast Member!

Usher will join the cast of Fuerza Bruta in New York City for two performances only on April 28 at 7pm and 10pm at the Daryl Roth Theatre.

A limited amount of special VIP tickets will be available for $200 including a Fuerza Burta T-shirt, a special edition program signed by Usher, and a digital download of Usher‘s upcoming new release Looking For Myself, available for redemption on June 12.

Jake Gyllenhaal To Make American Stage Debut in August!

Jake Gyllenhaal is set to make his American stage debut in the off-Broadway play If There Is I Haven’t Found It Yet!

The 31-year-old actor will star in the Roundabout Theatre Company production of Nick Payne‘s comedic drama “about an off-kilter family who knows what the problems are, but not how to fix them,” according to THR.

The play, which will be directed by Michael Longhurst, will begin previews in NYC on August 24, and officially open on September 20.
