Tilda Swinton meets up with Richard Gere at the 2012 Venetian Heritage Gala held at NYC’s Pershing Square Signature Center on Monday (April 23).

The 51-year-old actress’s new movie, Moonrise Kingdom, will be one of the competing films at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, which kicks off May 16.

The drama, co-starring Bruce Willis, Bill Murray, and Edward Norton, centers around a pair of lovers who flee their New England town, causing a local search party to fan out and find them.

Time has revealed its 9th annual Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world!

Celebs making the cut include Adele, Jessica Chastain, Claire Danes, Viola Davis, Chelsea Handler, Rihanna, Tilda Swinton, and Kristen Wiig.

The mag also highlighted Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, her younger sister, Pippa Middleton, President Barack Obama and athletes Novak Djokovic, Tim Tebow, and Jeremy Lin.

Angelina Jolie was one of the celebrity writers, penning a piece honoring Oscar-winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.

Earlier in the day, Jessica shopped at the children’s clothing store Bonpoint. She was also spotted doing some sightseeing with a gal pal the day before.

Tilda Swinton arrives at the opening of Pomellato‘s Rodeo Drive boutique on Monday (January 30) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 51-year-old actress hosted the bash, which benefited L.A.’s Museum of Contemporary Art.

Tilda will be teaming up with her The Limits of Control director Jim Jarmusch for the vampire romance Only Lovers Left Alive.

Mia Wasikowska and Tom Hiddleston have also signed on for the flick, which is “described as an unusual love story between two vampires who have been in love for centuries,” THR reports.

Tilda Swinton attends the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday (January 29) in Los Angeles.

The 51-year-old actress, who is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her work in We Need to Talk About Kevin, wore a custom Lanvin off-white goddess gown and bronze platform sandals.

The drama centers around “the mother of a teenage boy who went on a high-school killing spree [as she] tries to deal with her grief – and feelings of responsibility for her child’s actions.”

Tilda is up against Glenn Close, Viola Davis, Meryl Streep, and Michelle Williams!
