After rumors spread that Tim Burton had reportedly confirmed a Beetlejuice sequel, the director’s rep is speaking out to deny the project is happening.

A source close to Burton told Showbiz Spy what he allegedly said about the sequel.

“The film is a go and has been approved by the Warner Bros. team, we have talked with the cast members we wanted for the film and they are all on board, this includes both Winona [Ryder] and Michael [Keaton],” the source claims Tim said. “We have the script in hand, everything is in place, all we need to do now is get ready to start filming.”

Tim‘s rep has stated that Beetlejuice 2 is “not in development” and that he did not give any statement about the project.

THR reports that Transformers franchise writer Ehren Kruger will take on the script, which will focus on a “mix of CG and live-action.”

Disney’s latest live action film, Cinderella, is hitting theaters this week!

Tim has a ton of directing credits to his name, including Alice in Wonderland, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and many more.

Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton keep close in the cold weather while heading to grabbing lunch together on Saturday afternoon (December 27) in London, England.

Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton have split after thirteen years together.

The couple “separated amicably earlier this year and have continued to be friends and co-parent their children. We would ask that you respect their privacy and that of their children during this time,” a rep for the 48-year-old actress said (via People).

The couple, who never married, met on the set of his 2001 film Planet of the Apes. They have two children together, Billy, 11, and Nell, 7.

Tim, 56, has frequently cast Helena in his movies. She’s had roles in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Alice in Wonderland and Dark Shadows.

Amy Adams holds a feather on stage while attending a screening of her film Big Eyes hosted by The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences on Saturday (December 13) in New York City.

The 40-year-old actress was joined by her co-star Christoph Waltz, writers Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, and director Tim Burton.

Big Eyes is a drama centered on the awakening of the painter Margaret Keane, her phenomenal success in the 1950s, and the subsequent legal difficulties she had with her husband, who claimed credit for her works in the 1960s.

It was just revealed, according to leaked Sony emails reported by The Daily Beast, that Amy and her American Hustle co-star Jennifer Lawrence were paid less than their male on-screen counterparts Bradley Cooper, Christian Bale, and Jeremy Renner.
