When Will Tom Brady Retire? Wife Gisele Bundchen Weighs In!

Tom Brady has been playing quarterback at a high level in the NFL for over a decade and he’s now 41 years old.

There has been a lot of speculation as to when he’ll stop playing quarterback for the New England Patriots, and now, his wife Gisele Bundchen is weighing in.

“What will be will be,” Gisele said during an appearance on Good Morning America earlier this month. “I never seen someone love something as much as he loves football, and it makes me happy. If I said anything in the past it’s because you have a concern. … no one is going to hurt someone I love. You know? You just feel very protective of them. So obviously if someone hurts my children, my husband, anyone I love, I get like a lioness.”

Previously, Tom had said about retirement, “If it was up to my wife, she would have me retire today. She told me that last night three times. And I said, ‘Too bad, babe, I’m having too much fun right now.’ You know, I feel like I can still do it. If you love what you do and you’re capable of doing it, then I might be so bored if I wasn’t going out there knowing that I could still do it. So I’m going to work hard to be ready to go, and I still plan on playing for a long time.”

Tom will be playing in a Sunday Night Football game against the Kansas City Chiefs tonight (October 14) on NBC.

Gisele Bundchen Recalls Learning that Tom Brady's Ex-Girlfriend Bridget Moynahan Was Pregnant

Gisele Bundchen has a new book coming out soon and she opens up about the moment she learned that her then-boyfriend (and future husband) Tom Brady was expecting a child with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.

Two months after Tom and Gisele started dating in 2007, they found out that Bridget was pregnant with his first child – son Jack, now 11.

“Two months into our relationship, Tom told me that his ex-girlfriend was pregnant. The very next day the news was everywhere, and I felt my world had been turned upside down,” Gisele wrote in her book “Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life.”

“It wasn’t the ideal situation for anyone — there’s no manual to prepare you for that,” she added in an interview with People. “But I’m so grateful for [Bridget]. I know this was hard, but I couldn’t imagine my life without [Jack]. I call him my bonus child.”

“He opened my heart in ways I didn’t even know my heart could expand,” she added about her step-son. “I fell in love with him.”

Tom and Gisele are also the parents of son Benjamin, 8, and daughter Vivian, 5.

Tom Brady Cuts Interview Short After Tense Exchange - Here's Why

Tom Brady was not happy with questions about his trainer Alex Guerrero amid rumors that there was tension between Alex and New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick last season.

The 41-year-old quarterback was on the phone giving an interview on the radio with Kirk Minihane when the questions turned to his trainer. Things quickly got tense, and Tom ended the call.

“We saw the reports this weekend that Alex was on the team plane, which he wasn’t for the second half of last year, I guess, and not on the sideline. Is that accurate?” Kirk asked.

Tom responded, “Yeah, he was with me this last week, so it was; yeah.”

Kirk continued, “What changed with him not being on the team plane last year and this year? Was that just communication back and forth? Was that understanding of other things? What led to that being able to happen this year?”

“I said I don’t want to get into it,” Tom responded.

Tom Brady Offers a Theory on Why He Thinks People 'Don't Like' Him

Tom Brady thinks people “don’t like” him, and he’s offering a theory as to why that may be.

“I think it’s a different part about football, for example, in America…I mean, if you look at a lot of other sports around the world, at some point, maybe you get to represent your country, like watching the World Cup in the summer. I see all these soccer players that play for these different clubs but then come together for their country at some point,” the 41-year-old NFL star quarterback, who plays for the New England Patriots, told WEEI’s Kirk and Callahan show on Tuesday (August 21). “In America, we never get a chance to do that.”

“So, most Americans that live in other parts of the country, they don’t like the Patriots. They don’t like me, and I can understand that,” Tom continued. “I mean, I was a 49ers fan at one point. They want to see their team win, and when they don’t, I think they’ve got to direct that frustration somewhere else. When you’ve been successful like our team has been, I think frustration gets directed at us, and that’s just part of it.”

During his time with the Patriots, Tom has won five super bowls, been the Super Bowl MVP four times, has been named the NFL’s MVP three times, and has consistently led his team to the playoffs multiple years in a row.
