Tom Brady, quarterback for the New England Patriots, has been suspended for 4 games this upcoming season after the whole “deflate-gate” scandal.
The 37-year-old 2015 Super Bowl MVP was named in the recently published Wells report pertaining to the deflated footballs. It was noted that “it is more probable than not that Tom Brady was at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities.”
Sports insider Adam Schefter broke the news on Twitter. “Filed to ESPN: Tom Brady suspended four games, Pats lose 1st round pick in 2016 and a 4th in 2017, and team fined $1 million, per source,” he wrote.
Tom has yet to respond to the suspension. This will for sure be a huge blow to the Patriots, as Tom has been their starting quarterback for years.
If you aren’t aware, “deflate-gate” started when the Patriots played the Colts earlier in the year, and it was found that New England’s footballs were deflated below NFL regulations.
