Amy Schumer has released a statement following the tragic shooting at a screening of her movie Trainwreck that has left at least three people dead.
“My heart is broken and all my thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Louisiana,” the 34-year-old comedian tweeted shortly after the news broke on Thursday night (July 23).
A 58-year-old white male stood up in the crowd about 20 minutes into the screening and fired into the audience with a handgun. Three people are dead, including the shooter, who shot and killed himself. Seven victims were hospitalized and three are suffering critical injuries, according to reports.
