Jessica Alba's Muzzler Infomercial

Jessica Alba plays the host of a faux home-shopping cable channel, hawking “The Muzzler 2008,” a Hannibal Lecter-like restraint mask that symbolizes failing to exercise the right to vote.

For this faux-infomercial, the 27-year-old Fantastic actress enlisted the help of Heroes starlet Hayden Panettiere and 90210 star Tristan Wilds. Both guest stars comically wear the mask, attempting to talk and eat with it on. (Jessica‘s ad campaign wearing the mask was released on Wednesday.)

The PSA will soon be available for download at DeclareYourself.com but you can watch the video below now!

90210 is a Rating Success!

The CW’s 90210 became the highest-rated scripted debut in the network’s two-year history, reports THR. (Reviewers chimed in, saying it wasn’t a complete disaster.)

4.9 million viewers tuned into Tuesday’s two-hour premiere, garnering a 2.6 rating among adults 18-40. Smallville held the previous record in the adult demo with a 2.2 rating.

The network’s all-series premiere record is held by reality TV series competition America’s Next Top Model with a 2.6 rating.

The trade mag reports that if the CW’s overall performance does not improve, the network may be axed altogether.

THE BIG QUESTION: Will you tune into 90210 next week?

'90210' -- The Reviews Are In!

The first reviews are in from last nigiht’s two-hour premiere of the much-buzzed-about 90210. Check it.

90210 is a perfectly competent and reasonably seamless revival that understands what made the original tick (and tick and tick), while being infused (occasionally suffused) with enough contemporary touchstones to remind new viewers that this isn’t their parents’ (or at least older siblings’) trusty fave… 90210 is not a disaster, and the CW can now officially let out a deep … sigh … of relief.” — Newsday

“More than just a famous zip code, 90210 is easily the most hyped show of the fall season and the CW is banking on all of the buzz to draw in big ratings. This spinoff, eight years after the first series ended, is a pallid copy of the original fish out of water story only with shinier cars, fancier clothes and Botox aplenty.” — Variety

“All the expected ingredients were there: gorgeous teens, lots of style and extravagance, raging hormones, and always the potential for backstabbing, broken hearts and payback. Same old, same old at West Beverly Hills High School.”– AP

WHAT DID YOU THINK of the two-hour premiere of 90210 — YAY or NAY?

'90210' Cast are Party People

90210 cast members Dustin Milligan, Jessica Stroup, Ryan Eggold and AnnaLynne McCord attend the CW/CBS/Showtime/CBS Television TCA party at Hollywood club Boulevard3 on Friday.

When asked about her character (spoiled and attractive rich kid Naomi Clark) on the show, AnnaLynne said it’s basically the PG-version of Nip/Tuck‘s Eden.

Also pictured: costars Michael Steger, Tristan Wilds, Shenae Grimes and CW Entertainment President Dawn Ostroff.

It was just announced that Shannen Doherty will be bringing Brenda back to her old zip code.

90210 is scheduled to premiere on September 2 on The CW.
