Dionne Warwick's Niece Brittani Reveals if Her Aunt Is Really the One Tweeting!

Dionne Warwick‘s niece Brittani is reacting!

The 80-year-old legendary crooner has been making headlines for weeks for her active, humorous Twitter usage, even leading to hot collaborations and a SNL skit – and now her niece is addressing if it’s really her.

“She doesn’t really ask me anything. She just does it herself. She’s making me say ‘DW Team’ on tweets I send because she’s sick of people asking if it’s really her doing it,” she revealed.

Aunt Dionne is very much the kind of person that has quick inquisitive thoughts. She’ll tell you in a heartbeat that she’s nosy. She’s always wondering things. I managed her social for a long time for her tours and things like that. But in this pandemic, I thought it might be good for her to jump on and just be herself and Twitter was the place to do that!” she continued.

Brittani works as co-president of Web Net 1, a digital presence agency, and has worked as Dionne‘s social and branding director for years.

Dionne is one of my clients and she just happens to be my aunt as well. The great thing about Aunt Dionne is she brings such joy just by being herself, even if she’s being very firm and stern with you, it’s through love,” she continued.

If you missed it, Dionne revealed which singer she’d like to play her in a biopic.

Joe Biden Will Begin With 0 Followers on Twitter as President

Joe Biden is starting fresh on social media.

The President-elect of the United States will transition to the @POTUS Twitter account in January following his inauguration, and his follower count will begin at 0, a Twitter spokesperson confirmed in a statement amid early reports that President Donald Trump “refused” to pass his followers to Biden.

“The accounts will not automatically retain their existing followers. Instead, Twitter will notify followers of these accounts to provide context that the content will be archived and allow them the choice to follow the Biden administration’s new accounts. For example, people who follow @WhiteHouse will be notified that the account has been archived as @WhiteHouse45 and given the option to follow the new @WhiteHouse account,” they explained.

@POTUS currently has 33.2 million followers and @WhiteHouse has 26 million followers under the Trump administration. This is in contrast to 2017, when the @POTUS account automatically transferred from Barack Obama to Trump with its followers intact.

#AmyCovidBarrett Is Trending on Twitter - Find Out Why

Amy Coney Barrett is trending on Twitter.

The 48-year-old newly appointed Supreme Court Justice made headlines after making the decisive vote in a decision that greatly affects New York amid the pandemic.

The court voted 5-4 to restrict New York state from reimposing limits on religious gatherings on Wednesday (November 25) in an emergency ruling, with the decisive vote cast by Justice Barrett.

“Stemming the spread of COVID–19 is unquestionably a compelling interest, but it is hard to see how the challenged regulations can be regarded as ‘narrowly tailored.’ They are far more restrictive than any COVID–related regulations that have previously come before the Court, much tighter than those adopted by many other jurisdictions hard-hit by the pandemic, and far more severe than has been shown to be required to prevent the spread of the virus at the applicants’ services,” the court ultimately decided.

She did not write a separate opinion in the two New York cases, but backed the majority vote for the opinion.

The four remaining Democratic appointees dissented, stressing that the emergency relief wasn’t necessary because Gov. Andrew Cuomo recently reclassified the areas in question in a color-coded system from “orange” to “yellow,” lifting the most onerous restrictions, according to Politico.

Following the news, #AmyCovidBarrett began to trend on Twitter and has continued to all day, with many users weighing in with their dismay at the decision.

“So essentially SCOTUS ruled against what’s happening in the best interest of the state, and by extension, the public interest. Sure, let the religious zealots dictate what’s best. Nice work, #AmyCovidBarrett. Let’s hope Biden expands the Court. It is time,” wrote one user.

“Every health care worker in the United States should threaten to strike if their state government doesn’t mandate the most basic Covid protections – like masks and crowd control. For the love of God, they aren’t United States Marines. This is ******** insane. #AmyCovidBarrett,” wrote another.

Here’s how Democratic politicians reacted to her confirmation to the Supreme Court.

Madonna Is Trending on Twitter for an Unexpected Reason - Find Out Why

Madonna is trending – but the actual news has nothing to do with Madonna.

The 62-year-old “Like a Prayer” music icon began trending on Twitter on Wednesday (November 25), and it’s because of a case of mistaken identity, as users are getting confused with condolence messages being left for Diego Maradona, the soccer legend who sadly passed away at the age of 60.

Many of the tweets trending under “Madonna” are people pointing out that it was “Maradona,” who died, not “Madonna.”

Madonna, who is still alive and well, has not reacted to the Trending Topic news, however her account did just release a new HD version of the music video for her 2005 smash hit, “Hung Up.”
