Shonda Rhimes & Her Leading Ladies Cover EW's New Issue!

Shonda Rhimes and her leading ladies, Kerry Washington, Ellen Pompeo, and Viola Davis take the cover of EW‘s latest issue!

There are four separate covers highlighting Shonda‘s hit ABC shows Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away with Murder, and Scandal. Here’s what the cast had to share about their shows:

Ellen, on the sexist response to McDreamy’s death: “All of a sudden, Patrick [Dempsey] leaves, and it’s like, Oh my God, Meredith’s gonna get killed with Alzheimer’s! The show couldn’t possibly go on without the man!”

Viola, on colorism in the entertainment industry: “You have to come from Detroit or Atlanta to be black. If you have John Denver on your iPod and you come from Central Falls, Rhode Island, then: Eh, you trickle-down black woman.”

Kerry, on why it’s different to work for a female showrunner: “I was talking to an actress who’s pregnant and really worried about telling her bosses, and I said, ‘Yeah, when I told my boss I was pregnant, she literally jumped up and down in my trailer.’ I don’t know if there’s a male showrunner who would do that.”

Kerry Washington Says Olivia Pope Is Not a Role Model

Kerry Washington and Viola Davis are all smiles while attending the ABC portion of the 2015 Summer TCA Tour on Tuesday (August 4) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The ladies were joined by Shonda Rhimes, the creator of their respective shows Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder, and Grey’s Anatomy‘s Ellen Pompeo.

Kerry opened up about why she doesn’t think her character Olivia Pope should be a role model.

“I’ve always thought it was misguided when people tell me that Olivia is their role model,” Kerry said (via TV Line). “Because she’s having an affair with a married man, who is President of the United States. And a murderer.”

“There are things that are very admirable,” she added. “She’s an entrepeneur, she’s very smart, she has an amazing closet… [but] she is nobody’s role model.”

FYI: Kerry is wearing a Mary Katrantzou dress and Christian Louboutin shoes. Viola is wearing a Carmen Marc Valvo dress.

'Suicide Squad' Trailer from Comic-Con Officially Released - Watch Now!

Warner Bros has officially released the Suicide Squad footage that was shown during the studio’s 2015 Comic-Con panel.

During the panel presentation over the weekend, someone recorded the footage and posted a poor quality version online that has been circulating ever since.

Jared Leto, Will Smith, Joel Kinnaman, Margot Robbie, Cara Delevingne, Jai Courtney, Viola Davis, Jay Hernandez, Karen Fukuhara, Adam Beach, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje all star in the film, which will be released on August 5, 2016!

“Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday. We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation,” Sue Kroll, president of Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution said in a statement.
