Katharine McPhee ready to get back into Waitress!

The 35-year-old entertainer looked pretty in a tan cardigan and matching skirt as she attended the photo call for the Broadway show to promote her return on Wednesday afternoon (November 20) at Sardi’s restaurant in New York City.

Katharine previously starred in Waitress on Broadway back in the summer of 2018 and then she originated the role for the West End production in London this year. You can catch her in the show from November 25 through January 5!

Katharine McPhee will return to the Broadway cast of Waitress to play the lead role of Jenna for the show’s final six weeks!

It was announced earlier this year that Waitress will close on January 5 after three and a half successful years on Broadway.

Katharine previously starred in Waitress on Broadway back in the summer of 2018 and then she originated the role for the West End production in London this year. You can catch her in the show from November 25 through January 5!

Fellow American Idol alum Jordin Sparks is currently playing Jenna until November 24. Make sure to watch her sing “She Used to Be Mine,” the show’s eleven o’clock number.

The 29-year-old actress and singer is playing the lead role of Jenna and she sings the ballad “She Used to Be Mine” in the second act.

Jordin Sparks has extended her limited engagement in the Broadway musical Waitress and it was just announced that Al Roker will return to the cast!

The 29-year-old former American Idol winner was originally supposed to stay in the show through October 27, but now she has extended her run through November 24.

Al will play Old Joe again from November 1 through November 24. The musical is set to close on Broadway on January 5.

Jordin made an appearance on The Today Show to announce the news with Al on Thursday morning (October 10) in New York City. You can see photos of her outside of the studio in the gallery. Watch the video below!

Here’s something you might not know about Kristen Bell – she got her start in the entertainment industry on Broadway!

The Veronica Mars actress made her Broadway debut in 2001 in the play The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and she also appeared in the 2002 revival of The Crucible.

Kristen has been trying to book a return to the Great White Way and she told Refinery29 that she wanted to star in the musical Waitress, but sadly had to turn down the role.

“She wanted to do Waitress on Broadway but had to pass because she’d have to uproot her kids, who are in school,” the outlet reported in a new profile.

Kristen and her husband Dax Shepard are the parents of two daughters – Lincoln, 6, and Delta, 4.

The role of Jenna in Waitress has been played by Tony winner Jessie Mueller, Katharine McPhee, Shoshana Bean, and the musical’s composer Sara Bareilles, among others. Jordin Sparks is currently starring in the show!

Jordin Sparks officially kicked off her run in Waitress on Broadway last night (September 16)!

The 29-year-old American Idol alum was all smiles as she received a bouquet of flowers from co-star Mark Evans during the curtain call at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

Jordin is the latest star to take on the role of Jenna in the hit Broadway show, while original cast members Christopher Fitzgerald and NaTasha Yvette Williams are back to the cast, as Ogie and Becky respectively.

Jordin is playing a limited engagement through October 27.

The musical, featuring a score by Sara Bareilles and a book by Nelson, is slated to end its run at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre January 5, 2020.

“A new Jenna is coming to the diner! We are SO excited for @jordinsparks to join the cast of Waitress on Broadway as Jenna from September 16th to October 27th!” the show announced on Instagram.

“I’m so exciteddddd!!” Jordin commented.

Jessie Mueller, Sara Bareilles, Katharine McPhee and Shoshana Bean are among the stars who have taken on the role since 2015. Sadly, the show is coming to an end soon after running for years. Find out when Waitress is leaving Broadway!
