If you take a close look at what was happening in the background as La La Land producer Marc Platt was accepting the award for Best Picture at the 2017 Oscars, you’ll notice the show’s producers scrambling to make sure the real winner was announced.

Jordan Horowitz, one of the musical’s producers, ended up going to the microphone to announce that Moonlight was the rightful winner after the big mix-up.

Well, we know it was not Warren Beatty‘s fault for the wrong winner being announced at the 2017 Academy Awards because he was given the wrong envelope!

The envelope that the legendary actor was holding on stage while he and Faye Dunaway announced the winner for Best Picture said, “Actress in a Leading Role.”

When Warren opened the envelope, he looked confused as it said “Emma Stone, La La Land” as the winner. He looked in the envelope to see if there was another card and when he showed the card to Faye, she announced La La Land as the winner.

You can clearly see in the photo below that the envelope did not say Best Picture!

Warren Beatty walks back on stage to explain what happened after he and Faye Dunaway announced the wrong winner for Best Picture at the 2017 Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 26) in Hollywood.

The legendary actors, who were the original stars of Bonnie and Clyde, reunited at the event and the moment is going to go down in history as one of the craziest things to ever happen at the Oscars.

Moonlight actually was the winner of Best Picture, but they announced La La Land as the winner.

“I want to tell you what happened,” Warren said. “I opened the envelope and it said Emma Stone, La La Land. That’s why i took such a long look at Faye and at you. I wasn’t trying to be funny. Thank you very much. This is Moonlight, the best picture.”

Ruth Negga and Isabelle Huppert‘s films are continuing to rack up honors this award season!

The 35-year-old actress and Isabelle, 63, stepped out to hit the red carpet at the 2017 AARP The Magazine’s Movies For Grownups Awards at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel on Monday (February 6) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Also in attendance at the ceremony was Annette Bening and hubby Warren Beatty, Morgan Freeman and partner Lori McCreary, Zach Braff, Jeff Bridges and wife Susan Geston, June Squibb, Alfre Woodard, Margo Martindale, Wendie Malick, Frances Fisher and George Takei.

Ruth‘s critically-acclaimed film Loving took home the award for Best Movie For Grownups, while Isabelle‘s Elle scored Best Foreign Film, Annette was honored with Best Actress for 20th Century Women, and Jeff hit the stage to accept Best Support Actor for his work in Hell or High Water.

Natalie Portman looked glam while stepping out to celebrate the year’s hottest films tonight!

The 35-year-old pregnant actress was honored with the Desert Palm Achievement Award for her performance in Jackie during the 2017 Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards Gala held at the Palm Springs Convention Center on Monday (January 2) Palm Springs, Calif.

She showed off her baby bump on the red carpet with her husband Benjamin Millepied, Tom Hanks, and filmmaker Pablo Larrain.

Also in attendance were film stars Annette Bening and her husband Warren Beatty.

Natalie has also recently been nominated for Best Actress for her role in Jackie at the upcoming SAG Awards as well as for Best Actress at the Golden Globes.

Ryan Reynolds, Warren Beatty, and Usain Bolt were honored at the 2016 GQ Men of the Year Party on Thursday night (December 8) and it seemed like all of Hollywood’s hottest guys stepped out for the event!

The night kicked off with a private dinner hosted at the Chateau Marmont by GQ and Dior Homme. In attendance were Robert Pattinson, Joel Edgerton, James Marsden, Moonlight‘s Mahershala Ali, Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s Tom Holland, Rogue One‘s Riz Ahmed, and Mr. Robot‘s Rami Malek and Christian Slater.

The guys later headed to the big bash held at the same venue. Annette Bening and Greta Gerwig played an epic game of Family Feud on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday evening (December 5) in New York City.

The 20th Century Women co-stars teamed up with host Jimmy Fallon to face off against Questlove, Tariq and James of The Roots family in special Tonight Show edition of Family Feud, hosted by Steve Harvey – Watch below!

That same evening, Annette and Greta joined their 20th Century Women co-star Lucas Jade Zumann and director Mike Mills at a special screening for the flick held at Florence Gould Hall.
