Netflix Reveals Release Dates for 'Orange Is the New Black' & 'Wet Hot American Summer'

Netflix has just announced premiere dates for two of their series’ Orange is the New Black and Wet Hot American Summer.

All of the Orange is the New Black episodes, starring Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon, and more, will become available on the streaming site beginning June 12.

Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, the reboot to the cult classic, will become available a little over a month later on July 17.

Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, and Michael Showalter, and more are returning for WHAS.

The reboot of the cult classic film is bringing back the original cast including Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, and Michael Showalter, and more.

The news of the Wet Hot American Summer series coming to Netflix lit up the internet earlier this month and now we have the first teaser trailer for the new show!

The limited eight episode series, titled Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, tells the story of the first day of Camp Firewood’s famous summer season, now fourteen years after the film’s debut.

Making a return for the show are Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, and Michael Showalter, among others!

'Wet Hot American Summer' Full Cast Returning for Netflix Series

It was just announced that 2001 feature comedy film Wet Hot American Summer will be returning as an eight-episode series on Netflix!

The original cast of the film will be coming back for the series, such as Elizabeth Banks, Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, H. Jon Benjamin, Michael Ian Black, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Nina Hellman, Ken Marino, Zak Orth, David Hyde Pierce, Joe LoTruglio, Christopher Meloni, A.D. Miles, Marguerite Moreau, Marisa Ryan, Michael Showalter, and Kevin Sussman.

David Wain and Michael Showalter, who wrote the movie, created the Netflix series.

Wet Hot American Summer centers on the “last day at a fictional Jewish summer camp in 1981.”

This would be the second time that Netflix has revived a cult project, the first was the new season of Arrested Development.

Cult classic film Wet Hot American Summer could be coming to Netflix streaming with a 10-episode prequel, Variety reports!

The movie’s creators would try and put together the original cast, which included the likes of Paul Rudd, Bradley Cooper, Amy Poeher, Elizabeth Banks, Ken Marino, Molly Shannon, Christopher Meloni, Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, Michael Ian Black, Joe Lo Truglio and Michael Showalter.

Showrunners would hope to have stars shoot scenes in a short time period to allow for minimum time commitment.

The film was originally released in 2001.
