Clive Davis Grammy Party Still On After Whitney Houston's Death

Clive Davis‘ annual party, held the Saturday night before the Grammy Awards, is back on this evening following the shocking death of Whitney Houston.

“It’s still on,” a rep for the party tells JustJared.com.

“They are trying to pull together a memorial of sorts for grieving,” adds another source. “But they are trying to turn away as many people as possible.”

Whitney was to attend the party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel this evening. She was found unresponsive in her hotel room this afternoon and was later pronounced dead at the age of 48.

Whitney Houston Dead at 48

Whitney Houston has passed away at the age of 48, sources confirm to JustJared.com.

The singer passed away on Saturday (February 11). She was expected to show up at a studio for a photo shoot in the afternoon and to attend Clive Davis‘ Annual Grammy Party in the evening, JustJared.com can exclusively reveal.

Whitney was the first female artist to ever debut at number one on the Billboard charts and she is considered one of the world’s best-selling female artists with over 200 million albums sold worldwide. After struggling with addiction, Whitney returned to the music scene in 2009 with her album I Look to You.

Later this year, Whitney‘s new film Sparkle will be released into theaters. Check out a brand new still from the film that was released last week.

Whitney is survived by her daughter Bobbi Kristina, whom she had with ex-husband Bobby Brown.

Whitney Houston Enters Rehab for Drug & Alcohol Treatment

Whitney Houston recently entered an out-patient treatment program, JustJared.com can confirm.

“We can confirm that Whitney Houston is currently in an out-patient rehab program for drug and alcohol treatment,” her reps reveals of the 47-year-old singer. “Whitney voluntarily entered the program to support her long-standing recovery process.”

Whitney has battled substance abuse in the past but declared herself clean in 2009 when she released a comeback album. Last week in Los Angeles, she performed with Chaka Khan during a Prince concert.

Beyonce and Jay-Z also attended the event, which raised over $2.4 million for lifesaving AIDS treatment, care and support to children and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.
