William Guest, one of the original members of the group Gladys Knight and the Pips, has died at age 74.
The former performer, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 alongside his groupmates, died on Thursday (December 24) from congestive heart failure, according to the Associated Press.
“My heart is broken, but I know his legacy will live on,” William‘s daughter Monique Guest said in a statement.
Among the songs that William was featured on were “Midnight Train to Georgia” and “I Heard It Through the Grapevine.”
