Britney Spears salutes the crowd as she makes her way onto the stage at the first round of X Factor auditions on Thursday (May 24) in Austin, Texas.

The 30-year-old pop star joined her fellow judges Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell, and L.A. Reid to find new talent for the show.

At one point during the taping, Brit‘s reaction to an audition was “Holy cow, yes!” to which Simon said “Holy cat, yes!” in response. Lol!

Britney took to her Twitter later in the day to address reports that she had walked off the show.

“#Britneywalksoff??? LOL was just taking a little break people. I am having the BEST time!!!,” she wrote. In case you missed it, check out an exclusive pic of Brit sitting at the judges table.

It’s official – Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are joining The X Factor as judges for the upcoming season!

The big announcement arrived on Monday (May 14) during Fox’s Upfront Presentation held at NYC’s Beacon Theater. Brit even tweeted a pic with fellow judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid.

“I couldn’t be more excited to join The X Factor judging panel. I’m a huge fan of the show and now I get to be a part of the action. Simon and L.A. better watch out!” the 30-year-old pop star said in a statement.

“I’m so thrilled to join this legendary group of judges on [the show],” Demi, 19, added. “To be able to spend each week with Simon, L.A. and Britney watching the best that America has to offer is truly a dream come true.”

Britney Spears has reportedly signed her contract to join The X Factor as a judge.

The 30-year-old entertainer “finally inked her deal this week” and will get $15 million for one season’s worth of work, E! News reports.

“There’s been a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks as they negotiated the small details, but she’s on. It’s all completed and Britney is beyond excited,” a source revealed.

“She’s ready for this,” the insider added. “She can’t wait to sit down next to Simon [Cowell] at the judges’ table and give this everything she’s got. She is excited about showing the world that she can do this, and do this well. This is the perfect next stage in her career. Both Britney and Simon are very excited to work together.”

No word yet on who will be the fourth judge who joins Simon, Britney, and L.A. Reid.

Demi Lovato is reportedly closing a deal to join the judges’ table for the next season of The X Factor.

“Although the deal is not yet done and could fall apart, sources say Lovato‘s team is in final negotiations for the job,” according to THR.

The trade adds that show executives, including creator Simon Cowell, hope the 19-year-old entertainer “will bring [in] a younger audience.”

Britney Spears is also rumored to be one of the new judges who’ll replace season 1′s Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul.

Stacy Keibler is in talks to join The X Factor this upcoming season, the New York Post reports.

The 32-year-old actress and girlfriend of George Clooney has reportedly been considered for a position on the hit reality television show!

“Stacy Keibler is also in talks to join the show, but her lack of experience in the music business may make her more appropriate as a host. She looks fantastic and has bags of charisma,” a source said.

“You’ll have to wait and see. I can’t confirm or deny anything right now. The truth is, we are talking to a number of people,” judge and show creator Simon Cowell said last week about the open slots.

Britney Spears has reportedly been in talks to join the show as well.

The 25-year-old Glee star “politely” turned down the gig, which Steve Jones previously held for the U.S. version’s first season.

“They were after him,” a show insider told E! Online. “But there’s no way he could have done it with everything he has going on.”
