Jessica Chastain May Play a Villain in 'X-Men: Dark Phoenix'

Jessica Chastain is in talks to star in the upcoming X-Men movie, Dark Phoenix!

The Oscar-nominated actress would play Lilandra, “the empress of an alien empire called the Shi’ar, who leads the quest to imprison and execute Dark Phoenix, sending her into conflict with the X-Men,” according to THR.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Nicholas Hoult are all set to reprise their roles.

Simon Kinberg is writing the script and will make his directorial debut.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is set to shoot in Montreal and is expected to hit theaters on November 2, 2018.

'X-Men' Spinoff Movie Lands Maisie Williams & Anya Taylor-Joy

Maisie Williams and Anya Taylor-Joy are set to star in the upcoming X-Men spinoff movie New Mutants!

The film will begin production in July and it’s set to be directed by Josh Boone, best known for directing The Fault in Our Stars.

Anya will “play Magik, a girl who has learned sorcery and uses teleportation discs to travel” while Maisie will “play Wolfsbane, a girl struggling to reconcile her religious beliefs with her power to turn into a wolf,” according to THR.

New Mutants will hit theaters on April 13, 2018.

Jamie Chung to Play Blink in 'X-Men' Series on Fox

Jamie Chung just landed the role of Blink in the upcoming X-Men series ordered by Fox!

Blink is a fan-favorite character in the X-Men universe – she can create time warped portals that can teleport both people and objects. She’s described as “sarcastic, lively and a bit of a tomboy,” Variety reports. Blink has been featured in the recent X-Men movies, and has been portrayed by Fan Bingbing.

Bryan Singer, who does the X-Men movies, is also involved in the making of the pilot.

Jamie was previously a series-regular on NBC’s now-cancelled show Believe. She’s also been featured on Once Upon a Time, Gotham, and more.

Sophie Turner Gives New 'X-Men' & 'Game of Thrones' Updates!

Sophie Turner has revealed that the new X-Men movie will begin filming at some point this year!

“We’re about to start shooting the next X-Men, we’ve just finished shooting Season 7 of [Game of] Thrones, and I’ve got a couple of movies to do before X-Men starts. And then we go on to Season 8,” the 20-year-old actress told HeyUGuys. The new movie, rumored to be called X-Men: Supernova, is also thought to involve Sophie in the Jean Grey/Dark Phoenix story line, though nothing has been confirmed.

In addition to giving the X-Men update, Sophie also may have inadvertently told Game of Thrones fans that her character will be shooting season 8 of the hit HBO show – meaning Sansa Stark must survive (or appear in some other form) in the eighth season.

Season seven is expected to debut in the summer.

'X-Men' Series Ordered to Pilot By Fox!

X-Men is headed to television with a new series that was just ordered to pilot by Fox!

The untitled project has a script that is getting great buzz from execs at the network and producers are getting ready to explore casting for the show.

The new series “focuses on two ordinary parents who discover that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive,” according to Deadline.

Another X-Men-themed series is headed to TV soon on FX, the new show Legion!

Hugh Jackman Shares Poster for Wolverine Movie 'Logan'

Hugh Jackman will be playing his famous role of Wolverine in the upcoming movie Logan and a new poster for the film has been released!

The 48-year-old actor is seen in a suit with his claws outstretched while walking against the sunset.

Hugh posted the photo on his social media accounts and promoted the movie’s release date of March 3, 2017.

In the upcoming movie, Logan’s healing abilities are slowly fading away and he must defeat a villain with the help of a young girl who is a female clone of him. See a new still that Hugh just shared below!

X-Men TV Series 'Legion' Gets First Trailer - Watch Now!

One of the highly anticipated television shows coming next year is the X-Men series Legion and the first trailer debut at 2016 Comic-Con this weekend!

Legion follows David Haller (Dan Stevens), a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and visions might be real.

Also starring in the series are Aubrey Plaza, Hamish Linklater, Katie Aselton, and Jean Smart. The show will air on FX in 2017!
