Chris Geere answers questions while attending an AOL Build Series Event held at AOL HQ on Wednesday (August 31) in New York City.
The 35-year-old actor is busy promoting the third season of his hit FXX show You’re the Worst.
“It’s really hard to find love these days. “There’s kind of too many options and too many obstacles all the time,” Chris recently told Esquire. “The concept of noticing someone from across a crowded room just doesn’t happen anymore. You swipe right, arrange to meet up, and hopefully it works. But it’s really tricky.”
He continued about his character, “I think Jimmy and Gretchen [Aya Cash] are both fighting against wanting to conform to the usual idea of how you should meet each other. But I think it’s a story for our generation in that we show how hard every stage is. As soon as you actually commit yourself to another person, that’s when the real hard work starts. They’ve now said ‘I love you’ and they’re stuck. So we’re going from there.”
