Matthew Perry recently finished writing the screenplay for an upcoming movie and he has revealed that Zac Efron has already turned down the chance to star in the film.

The two actors previously worked together in 17 Again, in which Zac played a younger version of Matthew‘s character.

The new film would feature Zac playing the younger version of Matthew‘s character yet again and it doesn’t seem he was interested in taking on that role again.

“I finished a screenplay that we’re out with to some people. Um, I wanna direct that,” Matthew said during an interview on SiriusXM’s Pop Culture Spotlight with Jessica Shaw. “I have a small part in it. I wrote it for myself and then realized I’m 20 years too old to play this. So we’re trying to cast the leads now.”

Wrestler Kevin Von Erich seems to be impressed with Zac Efron playing him in the upcoming, The Iron Claw.

The 65-year-old former pro wrestler spoke to TMZ about the 35-year-old actor stepping into the role in the Sean Durkin directed movie, and opened up about the set pics he has seen so far.

Earlier this week, Zac Efron was spotted with a beefed up body on the set of his upcoming movie, The Iron Claw.

Fans could barely recognize the 35-year-old actor, and yet, also expressed concern over how much he beefed up for the role after opening up about how doing the same for Baywatch affected his health in the long run.

The first pics of Zac Efron on the set of his new movie, The Iron Claw, have surfaced.

In the images, via The Daily Mail, the 35-year-old actor is shirtless and wearing a long wig as he heads to the set from his trailer, with just a towel wrapped around his waist.

Based on the true story of the Von Erichs, The Iron Claw follows the rise and fall of the Von Erich family, a dynasty of wrestlers who made a huge impact on the sport from the 1960s to the present day.

After the images surfaced, many have expressed concern for Zac after he opened up about what happened the last time he beefed up for a role.

Zac Efron is opening up about the rumors he’s joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The 34-year-old actor responded to the reports while appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday (September 30) in New York City.

Back in September 2019, there were rumors that Marvel was looking for a “Jewish ‘Zac Efron-type’ who is preferably of Israeli decent” for the lead role in the Moon Knight series. Oscar Isaac ended up getting the part.

Now, Zac is opening up about the rumors and calls for him to play Wolverine.
