Ziyi Zhang and Jeremy Renner hit the red carpet at the Beijing International Film Festival held at the China National Convention Center on Monday (April 23) in Beijing, China.

The 33-year-old actress and Jeremy, 41, were joined at the event by director James Cameron and his wife Suzy Amis.

The day began with a screening of Jeremy‘s film The Avengers!

“In an age of streaming video watched on iPhones and tablets, the Chinese audience has spoken resoundingly, that they love watching movies where movies were meant to be seen, on the big screen,” James said about Chinese cinema to the LA Times. “China is a force to be reckoned with.”

Ziyi Zhang shows a bit of leg at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party at the City of West Hollywood Park on Sunday (February 26) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 33-year-old Chinese actress paired her Elie Saab dress and shoes with Bulgari jewels and a Swarovski clutch.

On Friday, Ziyi attended the Fifth Annual Women in Film pre-Oscar Cocktail Party held at Cecconi’s Restaurant in West Hollywood.

Ziyi, who met up with Octavia Spencer inside the bash, wore another design by Elie Saab.

She finished off her look with Irene Neuwirth jewelry, Brian Atwood heels, and a Bottega Veneta clutch.

Ziyi Zhang is pretty in pink as she is honored during the 6th International Rome Film Festival on Friday (November 4) in Rome, Italy.

Each year, Italian car manufacturer Lancia, one of the leading sponsors of the festival, honors an artist with the most talent, charisma, and personality.

Ziyi, 32, was awarded with the 2011 award for “Eleganza E Temperamento” (elegance and temperament). Yesterday, she attended the “Love for Life” premiere.

Ziyi Zhang wears a gorgeous Christian Dior gown to the premiere of Love For Life on Wednesday (November 2) in Rome, Italy.

The 32-year-old actress stars in the film about AIDS, a subject that is considered taboo in China.

“We have opened a little bit, because we are facing this topic, we are facing this issue, and people are not hiding this anymore,” Ziyi said to the Washington Post on the red carpet about how this film is opening doors in China. Ziyi‘s character in the film is afflicted with the awful disease.

Irina Shayk and Ziyi Zhang arrive at amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala during the 2011 Cannes Film Festival on Thursday (May 19) at Hotel Du Cap in Antibes, France.

The event helped raise money and awareness for amfAR‘s mission, which is to create and implement effective HIV research, treatment, prevention, and education strategies.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon actress Ziyi Zhang will portray the legendary young heroine soldier Hua Mulan in an independently-produced live action film.

The story was first popularized in the 1998 Disney animated film, Mulan. This time, the pic will be helmed by director Jan de Bont (Speed, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider). Seems like creating superstars out of kick-ass female characters is Jan‘s thing!

Mulan is set to start shooting this fall outside Shanghai. Let’s hope this one’s a good one!

Ziyi Zhang comes out to show her support for The 2010 Special Olympics Unity Cup on Saturday (July 3) in Cape Town, South Africa.

The 31-year-old Chinese actress mingled with other players, including sixteen Special Olympics athletes from all over the world and NBA legend Dikembe Mutombo at the Crystal Towers Hotel.

Ziyi is a Global Ambassador for the Special Olympics and was there to participate in the friendly Coca-Cola sponsored Special Olympics Unity Cup Match. The match, held at the Cape Town Stadium, was held to promote more acceptance of people with intellectual disabilities.
