Cher, John Legend, Sophia Bush & Many More Support & React To Kamala Harris Being Picked as Joe Biden's VP
Kamala Harris was just announced as Joe Biden‘s Vice President pick after a lot of speculation on just who he would choose.
The California Senator was one of the front runners for the job for the upcoming Presidential election and now celebs are having a party on social media, celebrating her historic nomination.
“@KamalaHarris is a great choice for Vice President. Her tenacious pursuit of justice and relentless advocacy for the people is what is needed right now. I worked closely with her when I was in Sacramento and she was the District Attorney in San Francisco. I continue to work closely with her here in Washington, DC as we push to reform our nation’s policing system,” writes US Representative Karen Bass, who was also considered for the role. “California is better because of her work as Attorney General and stronger because of her work as Senator. Now all Americans will benefit from her work as Vice President. I will do everything I can to help her and @JoeBiden win in November.”
Amy Klobuchar, who also ran for the Democratic ticket, tweeted her support for Kamala as well: “Filled with joy that Sen. @KamalaHarris is our Vice Presidential nominee! This is a historic moment, and I know that her leadership, experience, and character will help move our country forward when she and @JoeBiden take back the White House!”
Other stars such as Sophia Bush, John Legend, Mindy Kaling and more have also shared their support on social media.

Kamala is a good friend and incredibly strong public servant. Sometimes campaigns can tear friendships apart but we grew closer โ and I know she has what it takes to lead side-by-side with @JoeBiden.

The sexist and racist political attacks on @kamalaharris have already begun. Letโs demand that the media keep these ignorant, bad-faith attacks out of their 2020 election coverage. Let her know: #WeHaveHerBack https://t.co/dbILReHQxy
