Shia LaBeouf Exits 'Orphans' on Broadway

Shia LaBeouf has exited the upcoming Broadway production of Lyle Kessler‘s Orphans, Playbill reports.

The 26-year-old actor, who was set to make his Broadway debut in the production, left “due to creative differences.” No other statement was given.

Earlier in the week, Shia tweeted: “put my hand thru the door at rehearsals. then apologized to our playwright- this was his response. lesson? PACE,” along with a pic of some emails between him and Lyle.

Orphans, which is a three character piece, stars Alec Baldwin and Tom Sturridge in the other two roles. An announcement on replacement casting is expected soon.

The play will begin previews on March 19 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in the Big Apple. The official opening is slated for April 7.
