After the show was over, everyone headed to an after party and we learned where all the story arcs ended up.

Jimmy revealed to Karen that years ago he had been doing drugs with a girl at a party when she overdosed and he left her there to die. He had since changed his name and been in hiding hoping his past wouldn’t come back to haunt him. He told her that he decided to turn himself into the police to get over his trauma. Fortunately, the girl never died, but he was given a 6-18 month prison sentence for drug distribution. Karen brings Jimmy to the police station after the party and kisses him goodbye.. for now.

Eileen tracked down her boyfriend Nick after she discovered he had gotten out of jail. She brings him as her date to the Tonys, where she won Best Musical.

Derek had revealed to the press that he fired Ana Vargas because of the promise he made to Daisy that he’d give her the role if she’d sleep with him. He holes himself in his apartment, but Karen and Ivy both visit him and convince him to go to the awards show, where he has three nominations. At the Tony Awards, he decides at the last minute to not let Daisy perform her song and the rest of the Hit List cast performs an unplugged number instead. At the after party, he is seen caressing Ivy’s pregnant stomach, which implies she told him how he is the father.

Julia and Tom are approached to write a movie musical and are once again partners. She also makes good with her estranged husband Frank and they decide to play nice with their divorce proceedings. At the end, Julia is seen giving a note to her former lover Michael Swift.
