The Sherlock star celebrated his 37th birthday that day – happy birthday Benedict!

Sherlock co-creator Steven Moffat revealed at the Comic-Con panel that Sherlock’s (SPOILER ALERT) fall from the building resulting in his fake death would be explained. “It’s a rational explanation,” Steven said (via TV Guide). “When you see the answer, you’ll see that yes, we did know in advance. We had to plot it out.”

Benedict also was recently nominated for a 2013 Emmy Award nomination for his work in Parade’s End! “I couldn’t believe it. I thought I was hearing things,” he told the LA Times.
