Alex Rodriguez Steps Out After Record MLB Suspension

Alex Rodriguez forces a grin and a wave while stepping out of the Trump International Hotel and Tower on Monday afternoon (August 5) in Chicago, Ill.

The 38-year-old baseball player just received a record suspension from Major League Baseball of 211 regular season games through the end of 2014 for allegedly using performance enhancement drugs.

Alex just got back on the New York Yankees roster after battling an injury all season. He says he plans to appeal the decision and he reportedly can play during the appeal.

“I am disappointed with the penalty and intend to appeal and fight this through the process,” Alex said in a statement (via Sports Illustrated). “I am eager to get back on the field and be with my teammates in Chicago tonight. I want to thank my family, friends and fans who have stood by my side through all this.”
