Matt Smith: Patrick Bateman in 'American Psycho' Musical!

Matt Smith is set to play the iconic role of Patrick Bateman in the upcoming American Psycho musical!

The 30-year-old actor is famous for playing another iconic role: Doctor Who! He is currently in his fourth and final year in the cult favorite BBC TV show.

Patrick Bateman is the role originated by Christian Bale in the film American Psycho, which was based on the book by Bret Easton Ellis.

The new musical will be playing on London’s West End from December 3 through January 25. The music and lyrics to show were written by Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening).
