Ben Affleck Curls Up with Lifeless Rosamund Pike in 'Gone Girl' 'EW' Cover

Ben Affleck remains in character as Nick Dunne as he curls up against his seemingly lifeless wife, Amy, played by Rosamund Pike, in this Entertainment Weekly cover highlighting their movie Gone Girl.

David Fincher, director of the highly anticipated drama, is based around the novel of the same name where a woman (Pike) mysteriously disappears on the day of her wedding anniversary. Her husband (Affleck) is the main suspect in her disappearance.

“I don’t know what ‘likable’ is. I know people who are doting parents, who give to charity, drive Priuses, all those things, who are insufferable as*holes,” David told the mag about his choices for his characters. “I like people who get sh*t done.”

Author and screenwriter Gillian Flynn also added, “There was something thrilling about taking this piece of work that I’d spent about two years painstakingly putting together with all its eight million LEGO pieces and take a hammer to it and bash it apart and reassemble it into a movie.”
