Courteney Cox's 'Cougar Town' Co-Star & Ex Brian Van Holt Departing the Show

Courteney Cox waves to her fans as she leaves the salon on Tuesday (September 16) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 50-year-old actress’ Cougar Town co-star, and ex boyfriend Brian Van Holt has decided to leave the sixth season of the show a bit early, TV Line reports.

Brian, who dated Courteney for less than a year last year, has played Bobby “Penny Can” Cobb on the show since it started in 2009. He will reportedly say goodbye to his character in the sixth season’s premiere, which will air in 2015.

Brian is leaving to pursue other opportunities.
