Jared Leto Being Considered for the Joker in 'Suicide Squad'

Jared Leto is reportedly being considered for the upcoming super-villain flick Suicide Squad, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie is going to center on the characters Deadshot, King Shark, Captain Boomerang and Harley Quinn. It follows “convicted supervillains who have a chance to redeem themselves through dangerous missions.”

The Joker was previously played by the late Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight, which earned him a posthumous Academy Award for his performance.

“I do [have my eye on one project.] I am excited about what’s happening,” Jared told THR this week. “There are incredible opportunities and I’m very grateful for them. I’m looking forward to making films again now that the tour is wrapping up. It’s going to be an exciting 2015.”
