Scarlett Johansson Will Star in 'Ghost in the Shell' Movie!

Scarlett Johansson has landed the lead role in the adaptation of the popular Japanese anime story Ghost in the Shell, according to Variety.

The 30-year-old actress will star as “a member of a covert ops unit of the Japanese National Public Safety Commission that specializes in fighting technology-related crime.”

Rupert Sanders will be directing the DreamWorks funded film.

Scarlett‘s character Motoko Kusanaigi spends much of the anime in the nude, so it will be interesting to see how they translate it all into a live action movie.
