‘Parenthood’ Series Finale Recap: Which Character Died & Did You Catch That ‘Friday Night Lights’ Reunion?!

SPOILER ALERT! DO NOT CONTINUE IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!

The series finale of Parenthood was the most tear-inducing hour of television in recent memory.

While Adam (Peter Krause) and Crosby (Dax Shephard) got ready to close down the Luncheonette, the latter decided to stay open with the help of Amber (Mae Whitman) while Adam took a full-time job with Kristina (Monica Potter) at their school.

Meanwhile, Sarah (Lauren Graham) and Hank (Ray Romano) got married with Drew (Miles Heizer) as the best man, and Joel (Sam Jaeger) and Julia (Erika Christensen) adopted Victor’s (Xolo Mariduena) sister, who his birth mother decided to give up.

Sadly, Zeek (Craig T. Nelson) passed away from his heart condition, and the entire family gathered to spread his ashes on a baseball field before playing a game together.

In a flash forward, we see that Amber is now married to a guy played by Scott Porter, while Ryan (Matt Lauria) frequently visits his son Zeek (hey Friday Night Lights reunion!).

In addition, Julia and Joel had another baby after Victor’s sister, Max (Max Burkholder) graduated high school, and Camille (Bonnie Bedelia) traveled abroad again.

It was really the most perfect ending to the series.
