David Beckham Launches New Initiative with UNICEF, Son Brooklyn Wants to Start Helping!

David Beckham celebrates ten years of being a UNICEF goodwill ambassador at Google HQ on Monday (February 9) in London, England.
The 39-year-old retired soccer star launched 7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund, which will raise funds for kids from seven different countries with seven different initiatives.
My 22-year career in football has opened doors,” David said about the value of being a celebrity. “I can go to certain countries and ask to meet the prime minister – they might not want to meet me, but their children might.”
“Brooklyn only said to me on the school run this morning, ‘I want to go on a trip, when can I go?’ So they understand and respect it,” David added about his eldest son. “I’m proud to tell them what I’m doing, and I think it makes them proud as well.”
