Cate Blanchett Opens Up for First Time About Adopting Her Daughter

Cate Blanchett is opening up for the first time about adopting her new daughter Edith Vivian Patricia.

“There’s a lot of children out there who don’t have the good fortune that our biological children do, so it’s wonderful,” the 45-year-old Cinderella star said to Sky News at the premiere for her film over the weekend.

“It’s wonderful to welcome a little girl into our fold,” Cate added. “We’re besotted.”

Cate and her husband Andrew Upton also have three sons: Ignatius Martin, 6, Roman Robert, 10, and Dashiell John, 13.

Congratulations to Cate and her family again on the wonderful addition!
