Mark Wahlberg to Host 'Festival of Families' This Week

Mark Wahlberg checks out of Bristol Farms supermarket on Wednesday (September 16) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 44-year-old actor was seen being very friendly, chatting with fellow grocery store patrons as he made his exit.

It was just announced that Mark will be hosting the Festival of Families this week in Philadelphia, Penn., with Pope Francis in attendance.

Mark will be joined alongside musical guests, Aretha Franklin and The Fray, who will all be performing for the Pope during his American visit.

“We are deeply honored to have Mark Wahlberg serve as our host and we are thrilled to have the legendary Aretha Franklin and the immensely popular band, The Fray, join us in Philadelphia for Pope Francis‘ visit,” said Donna Crilley Farrell, executive director of the World Meeting of Families.
