'Mockingay' Beats 'In the Heart of the Sea' at Weekend Box Office
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 won the box office for the fourth weekend in a row, earning an additional $11.3 million for a domestic total of $244.5 million so far!
According to THR, the final installment, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson, has made $564.6 million worldwide.
Coming in at No. 2 was Chris Hemsworth‘s new film In the Heart of the Sea, which cost $100 million to make and opened to $11 million.
Taking the third spot was Disney and Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur, which brought in an additional $10.5 million for a domestic total of $89.7 million.
Rounding out the top five were Michael B. Jordan‘s Creed and the horror-comedy Krampus, which earned $10.1 million and $8 million, respectively.
Meanwhile, the star-studded flick The Big Short, boasting a cast of Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt, Christian Bale, and Steve Carell, grossed $720,000 from eight theaters for a location average of $90,000.
