Scott Weiland’s Cause of Death Revealed

Scott Weiland, the former frontman of Stone Temple Pilots, died earlier this month and his cause of death has been revealed.

The musician died at age 48 due to a “mixed drug toxicity: cocaine, ethanol and methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA). Other significant conditions are noted as atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, history of asthma and multi-substance dependence. Manner of death is accident,” according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.

Scott was on tour with his band Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts when he was found dead on his tour bus on December 3 while in Minnesota.
