Ellsworth Kelly Dead - American Artist Passes Away at 92

Ellsworth Kelly, a great American artist, has passed away at the age of 92, the New York Times reports.

The death of the great abstract artist was announced by his art dealer Matthew Marks of the Matthew Marks Gallery. Ellsworth passed away at his home in Spencertown, New York on Sunday (December 27).

Ellsworth is survived by his husband Jack Shear and his brother David.

Celebrities have been taking to Twitter and Instagram to remember the famous artist.

“#ellsworthkelly leaves us today having impacted the way we see the world. Rest in peace dear Ellsworth 💔" Gwyneth Paltrow wrote on her Instagram.
