Carrie Fisher Tells Body Shamers to ‘Blow Us’

Carrie Fisher has responded to criticisms of her appearance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The 59-year-old actress took to Twitter on Monday (December 28) to set the record straight about her body in the new film.
“Please stop debating about whether OR not I aged well,” she wrote. “Unfortunately it hurts all 3 of my feelings. My BODY hasn’t aged as well as I have. Blow us.”
Carrie also called her body her “brain bag,” and retweeted a follower who wrote, “Men don’t age better than women, they’re just allowed to age.”
Earlier in the month, Carrie told Good Housekeeping that she was pressured to lose 35 pounds for the movie.
“I’m in a business where the only thing that matters is weight and appearance,” she said. “That is so messed up.”
